Re: Para 3 love??
I did fall in love. And after a while I noticed I stopped carrying them. In that package the PM2 suits me better. When I want to carry a short blade I reach for my urban or ukpk. Am selling the para 3's one by one. Started with 7 now down to 5. I think I will keep one just for... you know...compari...

Re: AEB-L Urban Performance Reviews
Good thread. However, i am still curious what your day-to-day experiences are with the Urban AEB-L. I find the ergonomics of the urban very good for a small knife. The AEB-L steel has the tendency to roll over soon. I notice this best when stropping the urban. It will leave marks on my strop. The st...

Re: Where is the Urban Coyote?
3 Urbans. The K390 is fairly new also. Hasn’t seen any use yet. No patina. I am trying to experience the difference between AEB-L and N690co. Same dps, same finish, same geometry. Curious which steel will meet my demands better. https://i.imgur.com/YqHTkfr_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fide...

Re: If you could only have TWO Spyders...?
At the moment my Spydiechef and new urban.
The Spydiechef sees much use in the kitchen and at the same time is a great edc. The urban i need when around sheeple.
I never ever carry only 2 knives btw. :D

Re: Looking for impressions on the Spyderco Salt or Salt2
The coating on the Salt 2 is good. In normal use it holds up just nicely. I scratched mine when cutting a dirty carpet with sand in it. Did i say cut? I mean abuse...

Re: Where is the Urban Coyote?
As stated earlier i think my Urban is a well build piece. Maybe i am not judging it the right way and don't see the shortcomings? I have uploaded a few photo's so you can judge for yourself. Hope that if you have one (or more) coming in the mail you will be reassured of the possible build quality. S...

Re: Looking for impressions on the Spyderco Salt or Salt2
Lengthwise you can compare the salt 2 with a delica (in my opinion it is a salt delica) and the Pacific salt with the Endura. If you handled those two knives you know the difference. I know they are not exactly the same, still it will give you a good example. I tend to find more uses for the bigger ...

Re: Where is the Urban Coyote?
Kinda weird though that within a batch the quality differs. As said, my piece is oké. However, i think i blunted the tip with sharpening. Only visible with a loupe.

Re: Where is the Urban Coyote?
Just received mine. All good, just as my other Urbans.
Not sharp out of the box, but that is no real problem. Will sharpen it to 15 dps. Very curious how this steel holds up and touches up. Is it really the stainless 52100 in real use?

Re: Caribbean SE vs Phone Book
Nice vid David,
This shows that serrated edges can be very sharp. At which angle have you sharpened it?
I am trying to get the best out of my vg10 endura serrated.

Re: Hurry up with the Para 3 LW exclusives/sprints!
Let's go! There are supposedly 20+ exclusives/sprints for the Para 3 LW according to one forumite's brother's cousin's wife's boss's nephew who spoke to Eric at one of the recent shows. You remember it correctly. :D i am the nephew at the Amsterdam meet. I rather see a PM2 LW. Shifting towards bigg...

Re: Z-CUT KNIVES review
Very good review. I will certainly try every version. I believe they will be very versatile. The blunt tip for spreading, the pointy one for piercing, the serrations for bread and the plain for all other stuff. I am looking forward to these. All of a sudden i have an appetite for lime and lemons...n...

Lucky for us the coyote urban is in the second reveal. Love to try out AEB-L. Snag one (or two) before the eBay sellers got them.

Re: Chap LW idea
does pakkawood look better in person than in pictures, because i don’t think it’s attractive at all based on the pictures. i’d rather see a nicer looking wood like ebony or maybe some bone scales or something. if you want to go classy, really go classy. I had a pakkawood delica. Not a great fan of ...

Re: Chaparral lock bar and spring
Both my Chaps were very stiff at the beginning. The FRN version the most. A bit of oil and opening and closing a lot with a piece of cloth did the trick. They are very smooth now and very easy to unlock. Just need some time to break in.

Re: What's your 2 knife EDC system?
I like to carry a ‘big’ and little knife. In reality i have 5 knives just stashed up in my front pockets. Like Ladybug said there are specific knives for specific tasks. At the moment a large and small CRK, the Spydiechef, the urban k390 and a ZDP dragonfly. I use small pouches to keep them apart so...
