I'm Catholic and have carried a knife in my pocket since I was 6 so I've carried a knife to Mass for 60 years. I can't even imagine going out of the house without my knife. I have always wondered what type of knife that Jesus and the apostles carried - everyone had some type of utility knife back th...

Have you tried Rust Free from A. G. Russell? It works here in Florida on 01 and 1095. I don't know how it would work on Super Blue but at one time, I believe, Russell included a free bottle with his Super Blue knives.

Great pictures. My first recollections are of the Jersey woods as we lived near Magnolia when I was little (1950-1952). Beautiful state.

I have a serrated Endura (G-2) and an Endure 4 CE. Love them both. I always EDC a Delica but for yard work, fishing camping etc. I also carry an Endura. Great knife and, unlike the Delica, it makes it to the bottom of the peanut butter jar.

Thanks for doing this. Someone is really going to be happy. I have always loved knives and still have my first knife (a Camillus scout utility knife) that I received in 1952. In the early 1990's I read an ad in the Atlanta Cutlery catalog by Hank Reinhart about a two new knives on the market - the S...

According to an information timeline in the 1997 catalog, the aluminum handled Police was developed in 1989. It is in the 1994 catalog as a regular item. The Police was the fifth model made by Spyderco and has always been called the Police. I don't have any earlier catalogs.

Has anyone received their hard copy catalog yet? I was wondering if they had been sent out.

As a scout leader in Florida, I would recommend a Delica for Cub Scouts and an Endura for Boy Scouts. These both fit any legal or scout regs I am familiar with. Because most of our knife use is for food or fire preparation, I would think plain edge FFG would be best. Salts would be best for Sea Scou...

Totally agree! I've had a Delica (either Generation 1 with G2 steel or Delica 4 with VG-10) clipped to my pocket since 1991. If I carry another Spyderco, it's in addition to my Delica.

Mr. Glesser,

Any chance of the Dragonfly 2 Salt coming out with a black FRN handle? More options for Florida.

I've put several hundred rounds through mine, definitely over 500. I have never had a jam or misfire. It's hardly for long range but at 7 to 10 yards it's great. Perfect for Florida in the summer.

I would say Dragonfly (because of FFG), then GB then Centofante.

Unfortunately I don't have any of these three but I'm thinking of my Caly 3 compared to my hollow grinds.
