Re: Am I the only person who likes to age his Spydercos?
I didn’t intend to modify my blue P.I.T.S., but after the first obnoxiously noticeable scratch on the soft anodizing, I took some stropping compound to it to blend the blemish. I ended with a nice worn-in full denim color. B97637A5-DEF1-4B31-88CB-246FECA6CF8D.jpeg 46E3782B-DA98-4BB6-833A-415915D31D9...

Re: How salty is Manix LW s110v IYO?
I have taken my S110V Manix LW swimming in the Atlantic on multiple occasions with only a hint of rust from between the scales and lock housing back spacer and a tiny bit in the plunge grind of the blade after it wasn’t rinsed thoroughly once.
The ball and spring have no discernible corrosion.

Re: 15V Shaman!
Skinny Vintage Westinghouse single Blackline scales. My first skinny pair. Love how it completely changed the knife in hand and in my pocket to something more desirable for me. https://i.postimg.cc/zGzchJCt/346882230-1667007127072537-1556929539638860302-n.jpg Looks good, but I can’t find any info o...

Re: VG-10?
I generally do not buy VG-10. If a super special knife only came in VG-10, I’d consider it. The high performance Delica comes to mind. I’ll probably buy that. I can’t think of any other model I’d buy in VG-10. Maybe I should try VG-10 again, but it has no appeal for me.

Re: The Mule Thumb Ramp
Hey everyone! I also really dislike the thumb ramp in use, so I figured I should share what I did to fix one of my Magnacut Mules... Nice work on the ramp, Attila. Kind of shocking to see a black mule. Well done. Thanks! I apologize, but I‘m not sure what you find shocking. Did you mean “blank,” as...

Re: Maintaining a maintenace-free Siren
So, we don’t worry about rust, but how do you guys tackle (or ignore) lubrication? I had an S90V Siren that had some galling between the lock bar and blade tang. Those parts are different metals than LC200N, and I’m not sure how galling resistant LC200N is. Thank! Not disputing what you say, but I ...

Interestingly, someone stated that theirs “had to be around 62 HRC” based on their experience with it. I haven’t seen any HRC tests, but I’d like to know what it actually was.

Hey everyone! I also really dislike the thumb ramp in use, so I figured I should share what I did to fix one of my Magnacut Mules. I used my belt grinder, but a drum sander would work well too. I took down the thumb ramp and then lowered the spine to make it look right. It is amazingly more comforta...

Re: 15V Shaman!
I’ve had some FOMO about this Shaman for the past week or two, and I was really tempted at Sooner State! I already have the 15V Manix and PM2, and the Shaman is NOT $100-$120 better than either of those, so I couldn’t bring myself to finish checkout. 😬 Besides the above, having the Crucarta, orange...

Re: Show your Mule
Cool! Thanks for the explanation! I shortened the nub on one of my Magnacut Mules too, but not that far down. Using a 2x72 grinder, I also lowered the obnoxiously abrupt thumb ramp. I have since reduced the blade height to make the spydiehole sit more symmetrically between spine and thumb ramp. 972C...

Re: Show your Mule
Ooo! That’s much more pleasant looking than the product page shows. I think that the straight spine doesn’t work as well on the mules as on others. However, with that nub removed and its final form, I think it works well!
