If you're not a fan of the patina or maintenance that comes with preventing it, you could always get it coated.

There are fakes and this appears to be one of them.
Missing markings, font placement, no cutout in the show-side scale for the pocket clip, etc.

I was really happy to finally find a Tuff for a decent price on the secondary market. I wasn't aware of Tuff clones having been made, so I felt safe in buying it. Haven't pulled the trigger on the Pochi yet, but I have to admit I really enjoy my McBee.
Seeing how they're very similar in size, I reckon I'd like the Pochi as well :)

It heightens the general sense of quality and fit and finish.
Besides that, there are some knives where the blade will rub against the inside of the liner/frame when off-centered too far.
This will cause scuff marks or scratches on the blade, and that is no bueno.
