Re: Super Blue Manbug

Hello Fellows, I'm new to Spyderco knives. I bought my very first Spyderco ealier this month, a Manbug SuperBlue! I've fallen in love and bought a ZDP-189 as well. These little razors with a three finger grip fit my hand as though it was custom made for me. I took the ZDP out on a fox calling trip o...

Re: New to knives, but found Spyderco

G'day ryguy76 I'm new to Spyderco knives and the forum also. My madness started three weeks ago with a Manbug SuperBlue. I reckoned it was the biggest little knife I'd ever seen. The flat grind is beautiful and dead centre of the laminated blade. It's as sharp if not sharper than any knife I've ever...

Re: New Paramilitary 2, Anyone Verify?

Thanks JT,

I just got a Manbug ZDP from them and it's real and a little special, and I'm waiting on a Stretch ZDP from them as well. So that's good! They ship free to Oz so I'll be back for more. I want a Military s30v.

Re: New Paramilitary 2, Anyone Verify?

Hello fellows,

I'm new here and only own three Spyderco knives. I'd like to ask, was the knife bought online? I buy the vast major of my knives on line, though only from the US. I have a Stretch on order from an eBay store called Outfittercountry in US. Need I worry?

Re: Question for Sal and Spyderco .

SpyderNut, Many Thanks! I'm intrigued by the simple elegance of these knives! I've had an interest in knives for as long as I can remember. As a child I was transfixed by the knives and guns in the big gun shops in Sydney. I've grown up now and probably own more knives than in the windows of those l...

Re: Question for Sal and Spyderco .

Sincere apologises to all! I've blown in here like a bull at a gate and bitched like a school boy! I do apologise! It's obvious that Sal and Spyderco do what they can and early in the piece Sal did say he doesn't have a fix! It was naive of me to think he did! On a lighter note I just ordered: Sharp...

Re: Question for Sal and Spyderco .

I live in Australia . I recently purchased a Delica from an online knife seller from the USA , it was delivered to my door for a total of $87.00 Australian dollars . I was in my local shop the other day , the same knife was $138.50 . I really like supporting local businesses , but if I happily acce...

Re: Question for Sal and Spyderco .

Hey Bloke, random question...do you surf? :) Surfingringo, Not now my friend. I've been a water baby all my life but developed a phobia of sharks. I live under a mile from the ocean and try to swim about 1 km most fine days till the water temperature drops. I swim and snorkel in a bay that has a re...

Re: Question for Sal and Spyderco .

ChrisinHove and Sal, It's madness! Zen Imports have the Stretch HAP40 on their web site. I know this is a Sprint Run and believed it has finished. Anyhow, I rang about availability and was told they are waiting for the shipment, possibly August and RRP "around" $AU400! You may imagine my r...

Re: Question for Sal and Spyderco .

Thanks Sal, I'm aware of Zen. I bought my Delica from them indirectly of course because they don't sell to the public. It's a duel edge sword. Zen sell to retail distributors having paid there taxes etc., the retailer marks up the price to make it profitable for him and the consumer bleeds! It's act...

Re: Question for Sal and Spyderco .

A question for Sal, I personally, don't know anyone here in Australia how owns Spyderco apart from the clearance divers at work. I work on a Naval Base. They use a serrated "rescue" model as standard issue I believe. I paid $AU104, for a SuperBlue Manbug, $AU179 for a HAP40 Delica and the ...

Re: Question for Sal and Spyderco .

In regard to the Stretch my view, albeit that of an outsider and someone from a different culture perhaps, that being, we in Australia are forbidden from carrying any cutting implement. I stumbled across the Stretch because I want a robust and nimble folder to use exclusively on game. I was drawn to...

Re: Question for Sal and Spyderco .

Many thanks Surfingringo and Sal, I'm sure I'll like it here. I've only recently bought a SuperBlue Manbug and HAP40 Delica and I'm duly impressed. I've shied away from folders and particularly Spyderco's because I thought they were all fugly and had chinky plastic handles, well that was till I boug...

Re: Question for Sal and Spyderco .

Greetings from Australia fellows! This is my very first post. I hope I'm not butting in, so here goes. I like to hunt and would like to try a folder to use on game from rabbits to small deer, hence my interest in the Stretch. I don't own one nor have I handled one, yet. The last deer I dressed out w...
