Re: Delica 4 fake or old stock?
The engraving is the old style and authentic. Pretty sure both are real. How did he manage to mess up reassembly? He got the liner mixed up and switched sides. This probably wouldn't affect function but I switched them back. He managed to pin the little tabs on the backspacer between the scales ins...

Re: Delica 4 fake or old stock?
Have no desire to take any of mine apart, but can tell you that, with the knife closed, the lock notches in the blades of my CC#'d ZDP-189 and pink Sprint Run VG-10 Delica 4's both look like the one on the right. For that reason, I'd vote for it being authentic. As a side note, I think returning a ...

Re: Delica 4 fake or old stock?
Yeah I was trying to avoid going through the hassle of sending it in. Maybe someone from Spyderco or a forum member who knows more can chime in. I think its legit due to little things like the finish on the blade and the liners and hardware appear to all be identical. The seller would accept it back...

Delica 4 fake or old stock?
I recently purchased this Delica 4 from someone second hand. Upon receiving it I began to question it authenticity. I have several other Delica 4's and this one is slightly different. The ones I have are recent production. I believe this one is older. I'm wondering if this is just a slightly older o...

Re: Paramilitary and Military with thicker blade and Saber Grind: Yes or No?
They are perfect as is. I have no idea why anyone would want anything other than ffg. And the blade stock on both models is plenty thick for me.

Re: The Iconic Spyderco Hole Question
Sandpaper wrapped around a wooden dowel This I use 400 grit and it works pretty well. A wooden dowel or I use a plastic marker. Just don't use your finger. You will round off the edges too much. I do this to all my Japan spydies. I don't feel the Golden ones need it but the Japan ones are sharp on ...

Or you can call them up and order by phone. Great people to deal with. Knew clip should be around 6 bucks.

Re: Anyone able to help with this clip?
Remove the clip. Wrap the end that attaches to the knife in a cloth and clamp in a pair of pliers. Then bend the clip outward to make it a little looser. You will likely have to put it back on the knife several times and continue to tweak it. If you bend it too far just bend it back the other way. I...

Re: New Salt Handles
Sad to see the Pac Salt handles go. I do prefer it over the endura handle. The Salt 1 I'm not as crazy about and do not like as much as the delica. I wonder if the entire knife will be screw together construction like the endura/delica or will it be like the current salts with only the pivot and loc...

Re: Pretty sure this is fake Just wanted to make sure haha
If you like that knife you should get a stainless steel endura which is basically going to look just like that. It will actually be worth the money you pay for it and it will last for years and years. You can find one for $80 or less. Not outrageous when you compare to spending 20 for a fake one tha...

Re: Policy on replacing stripped screw heads?
I for one am really glad that Spyderco does send out replacement screws as I have asked for them on several occasions. I have no idea why some would seem to be upset by that. They are basically contradicting what their warranty says and helping their customers out anyway. Sounds like a pretty awesom...

Re: Red loctite
There is less consistency in the screw heads as well. Some of my frame screws need a torx one size larger than normal. On my new PM2 scale screws a T9 may fit better than a T8 and this is on the same knife with the identical torx bit. Is there a way you (or anyone else reading this) could get some ...
