Re: Need opinion on a Christmas gift for a young lady
My thought is pepper spray as well. However, my twin daughters live in Texas and they both wanted a knife to carry. I bought them automatics and they love them. PM me and I will send a link. Ed

Re: Do you ever wish you only had 1 knife?
The short answer is no. Kinda like guns, would one be enough? Not living in the sticks (rural). Gotta have a scoped rifle, shotgun, .22 rifle, and a pistol (bare minimum). My 6 children know I'm a knife nut and know which knives I regularly carry because they are kept in one spot. The rather expensi...

Re: What do real Spyderco Fans think about Byrd knives?
I see the Byrd knives as part of a business model. At this point in my life I am not interested in entry model anything. Probably safe to say I am a knife snob. Chris Reeve and top end Spydercos don't phase me. So is life...

About the only thing that will get you jammed up in Mississippi is an automatic knife. And only then if you carry it walking around. Probable get in more trouble for not having a knife in your pocket!!!

Re: What were your first five Spydercos and why?
Delica - VG10, seemed like a good place to start.
Ladybug - ZDP-189, had to have one after getting one for my wife.
PM2 - SV30, I read too many great reviews.
PM2 - 52100, well, I'm in trouble now.
PM2 - M390, I have fallen off into the rabbit hole!

Re: Am I the only one who has expensive knives but carry my inexpensive ones?
I guess the words inexpensive and expensive are subjective. I have no trouble carrying a $200 Spyderco or a $500 Sebenza and carry them all the time. That being said, as a long time knife collector, I do have some expensive (for me) knives that will forever remain in my safe. My favorite "safe ...

Re: Mule scale attachment
Three mules and Halpern scales waiting for me at the house. I'll be back home today and will work on them. I use Renaissance wax on my Damascus blades (safe queens) to keep rust in check and am thinking this might be a good way to address the potential rust issue with the Mules tangs. Good idea? Tha...

"Shiny Footprints". We moved to a rural section of land 30 years ago for a very deliberate reason. I can appreciate the thought. I also subscribe to the thought "buy once, cry once." Top end items are never cheap, you get what you pay for. HK firearms, Schmidt Bender scopes, and ...

Re: "Talkin' Story"
I used a Delica to open one of my wife's packages. She handled it and asked "where's mine". One of her friends was there and said she wanted one too. I bought both of them a Ladybug for their purses and found it so very usable that I had to get one for myself. Ed B

Re: EDC: Every Day Carry. What does it mean to you?
Offshore requires an inexpensive Case (in case it gets confiscated), land rigs get the PM2 or Delica, around the house gets a Ladybug and a PM2. Office work and church gets a Small Sebenza. There are probably 20 different knives in my EDC rotation, just different flavors of the mentioned knives. Ed B
