Re: In celebration of pics no longer being cut off...

I thought there was something fishy about the forum software.

Awesome post. Too bad about the blade play, though.

Re: Decisions...

You might want to look at your city and county laws to make sure you buy a knife that you can carry without going to jail. Blade size, lock, etc., can narrow your options more than other factors.

Re: Just got a call back about my broken clip

Sure, I received a Dice flipper on Monday. Despite being a flipper, the knife wouldn't flip. The pivot seemed to be the issue (holding the lock bar over to remove the detent pressure still wouldn't allow the blade much movement). Anyhow, I used a Torx bit as I've done a million times to attempt to b...

Re: Just got a call back about my broken clip

I called customer service on Monday morning (left a voicemail) and again today (transferred out after no answer and spoke to someone in the factory store who was going to relay my problem to customer support.

Still waiting .................

Re: Southard or Domino?

The Dice is the only one of Spyderco's flippers I would consider. Curious as to why? My Dice should arrive tomorrow. I wanted the Southard for so long, but being near Los Angeles means that I wanted to buy a flipper that I can actually carry and not worry about going to jail. The truth? I feel kind...

Re: Slysz Bowie!

Similar in many respects, but an interesting MSRP difference that I don't understand given the materials. If it were sports I'd say Marcin has a better agent.

Either way, kudos to Spyderco and both designers.

For its price, it's worth it as-is. I'd love one with a 2.95" blade and lock, too.

I love them, too. Sal said they're coming out with a titanium and Elmax version.

Re: The future of the Gayle Bradley Air

The only thing that kept me from buying one is the steel since I live 8 blocks from the Pacific. Strange steel choice, IMO, for a knife that's supposed to be in your pocket all the time. Beautiful lines, though. M4 isn't supposed to be in your pocket?   Salt air + swe...

Re: Red G-10 scales?

I think they should do a "Spyderco Signature Series" that have red and black G10 scales with a bolster stripe between them in the same pattern as the box. They should do 2 models, one each of Sal and Eric's favorites of their designs, and engrave the blades with their signatures. That wou...
