I always find that the more I use spyderco knives, the more I appreciate their design. I often don't recognize the genius of their knives until I really put them to work. Coarser. About like a dmt "coarse" I would say...which is around 325. I have them and they work great. They are a must have for the sharpmaker IMO.

Ahh, I didn't realize this wasn't going to be a sprint. Maybe it could be done in xhp? They seem to be using that in more of their regular production folders these days.

I'm considering picking up a police. Does anyone have both models? I kind of like the classic style of the ss model, but was wondering how the ergos compare to the g10 model. Luckily I'm going to knifeworks in a couple of days so I should get to handle them both. Any thoughts?

Hey buendia, if it were mine and the primary bevel lacked accuracy I would reprofile with the the diamond stones and get the edge trued up at 30 degrees. You have the diamond stones, and that's what they're for so I say go ahead and get it done. Once you have your edge good to go at 30, future touch...

The dragonfly is unbelievably comfortable and ergonomic considering its diminutive size. But in my opinion, the chaparral is even better. I like them both a lot!

The pm2 is my favorite black on black spyderco. It's over three inches, but are you sure that matters? I'm not trying to start a huge debate about this, but where I'm from it's very hard for me to imagine a police offer coming over and asking to measure my knife blade...and then confiscating it beca...
