Re: enuff 2!!!

... You are welcome, aicolainen, and you have a great eye! ;) I see now what you are looking at and thinking about, on that 'grip area'. I did not think about that, during this comparison photoshoot. :cheap-sunglasses So I just now measured that area on both knives (Manix 2/Enuff 2), and it is 1/16...

Re: enuff 2!!!

I am so glad that the Enuff doesn't have "handle-itis" (=elephantitis of the handle). That's one thing that puts the Enuff on my buy list. I don't like to carry around excess handle. I want just enuff handle, thank you very much. You're right of course, and this knife is perfect in that d...

Re: What are skinny scale and mods?

I'm looking for some new scales for my PM3 and all I seem to find are "skinny scales". I'm relatively new here and don't know all the lingo yet. What is a "skinny scale" and what is a "skinny scale mod"? Does my regular PM3 need modified to accept these scales? Please ...

Re: enuff 2!!!

The handle is too short for my liking, unfortunately. If it was similar to the Chief or Caribbean I would have been all in. You are welcome, Brock O Lee. I was happy to do it, though my wife thinks I'm crazy. :zany Many knives have a longer handle, and I'm sure you'll find something you love. For m...

Re: enuff 2!!!

Thanks Steve, for pictures and measurements! And thank you Wartstein for putting in the request. To me the grip area "behind the choil" looks very similar in length. Maybe a tad bit shorter on the M2, but the absence of finger grooves and a less pronounced hook at the butt end could maybe...

Re: Crowned spines

I’ve been a Spyderco fan for over two decades, but dipped my toe into the Chris Reeve realm a few years ago, with a small sebenza. Aside from the action one of the biggest “premium” features that adds to the knife feel is the rounded or crowned spine. Seems like a pretty simple thing to do, but jus...

Re: fixture/shim to make golden stone 30/15 instead of 40/20?
Steve, how much hinge did you leave on the Galley-V base you modified?
I would say about 0.094", Bill1170. I work with plastic quite a bit, and I cut it so that it would open up 'fairly' easy, but left enough behind to keep it (hopefully) from cracking all of the way through. ...

Re: fixture/shim to make golden stone 30/15 instead of 40/20?

Hey folks, does anyone have a 3d print model for something to make the golden stone be able to do 15 dps rather than 20? I don't think spyderco sells such a thing. Thank you for this post, and reminder! I started on a project a few years ago. I bought two of the Spyderco Galley V Knife Sharpener 60...

Re: enuff 2!!!

That looks outstanding! Did you just dunk the knife handle in the pot like that? No, I took these scales off with a T6 driver. If I am going to dye scales, I like to do it right away, when the knife is new. It's easier to clean & prep that way, before hitting the dye pot. Plus, K390 does not li...

I told a couple of people about me dying my Enuff 2 K390 Scales right away, upon their arrival. :bug-red-white The Sun didn't come out for nearly two weeks, so I held off taking pictures. Mainly because I let these get so dark, that it was going to take some sunshine to show off the real color. I ke...

Re: enuff 2!!!

I saw some of those pricing errors too, early on. Where Dealers were making K390 listings early, ahead of its release, but after they had already listed and sold some of the VG-10 model. The person doing the data entry, must have just assumed that the price was going to be the same. ;) Once the K390...

Hi Steve, As I remember, they were released t the same time. They were all designed at the same time. The Sheepfoot was about the same time as well. We had a lot of problems getting the sheath right so there may have been some delays. The new version was actually my response to threads here talking...

Re: When will Manix L’s with screws actually be available?

It's my understanding, that Spyderco will only run the LW CQI Manix 2's as they come up on the schedule to be done. If for example, the stock levels are high on the Maxamet version. They won't run any of them in the CQI version, until they 'need' to. :bug-red-white The BD1N was first. In both satin ...
