FRN or FRCP? I'll just believe whatever is printed on the box. Should be here today.

I'm going to have to vote the other way, Tucson Tom. I think it's a typo on the box, and that the knife is still being made with FRCP. :) . . . . . Sal?

Re: Manix2 LW Rex45

As a matter of fact is it possible to distinguish between FRN and FRCP based on appearance alone? Thanks. No, not that I know of bchan. If I recall correctly. One of the reasons that FRCP was chosen for the Manix. Was it's ability to be made translucent. Like the Spyderco Manix 2 Knife Translucent ...

I regrettably sold my 52100 Manix during my last purge and now I can't even find one on the secondary market. Let me know if you see any of those at the SFO!!

How could you sell a Manix!? . . . . . I'm bumping you down a couple of notches, on my 'smart guys' list.

Re: Manix2 LW Rex45

As of this afternoon. Sunday, September 6th, 2020.
Between myself, and a couple of friends of mine. We have 4 different Date Codes so far, on this knife.

:spyder: Dates codes so far:
LS
FT
GT
HT

Not a bad thing. Just an observation, and an interesting one at that! :D

Re: Manix2 LW Rex45

I noticed the FRN vs FRCP discrepancy as well. I was going to call, asking about that, but I didn’t get around to it this week. It’s worthy of note, though, that the Native FRN and the Manix FRCP are still slightly different shades of burnt orange. I plan to post a picture comparing them to old and...

Re: Manix2 LW Rex45

Spyderco always seems to be full of surprises! :D Mine arrived today, with Date Code 'LS' (Dec. 2019) A friend of mine got his in today as well. His is Date Coded 'GT' (July 2020) What could be considered even more surprising? The box is labeled: "Manix Pln Frn REX 45" Historica...

Re: Manix 2 flytanium cage opinions?

It just seems harder to use than either a compression or axis lock. It's a tough call, to say whether it's worth it or not. I've bought a few over time. I like them. I put a copper one on my burnt orange Rex 45 Manix for example. They go good together. A few of the plain Ti, on some of the other on...

Re: Alert Only Thread - Manix 2 Lightweight CPM-REX45 Burnt Orange FRCP C101PBORE2 Sprint Run

I just got a re-stocking notification email, from Deadwood knives. They just got in a second shipment. Still in stock at this moment. The price is about $35 higher than what we've been seeing from most Dealers, but this will still likely be better than going to ebay later. When this version is all s...

Ok steelcity16!
You can have your Cruwear in a LW, and I'll lobby for the G10 K390. :D

Victory! (C101PBORE2) :p Thank you Sal, and to the entire Spyderco Team. :spyder: Thanks to you also, RamZar. For your constant work on this thread. :) While I'm here. I'd also like to mention now too, as a reminder. The Manix 2 has yet to get the K390 treatment. Sal, can you squeeze Eric about this...

Re: Manix2 LW Rex45

I made a few calls over my cars bluetooth system, while traveling today. Once I had heard this model was trickling out to some Dealers. As far as I can tell at this moment (4:40-ish PM Central), only about 15 of these have been sold so far, in the past 1.5 days. So it's real early yet, and plenty ar...
