Re: Black Comprehension lock
The digi-camo para 3’s got cqi coated liners. It would be nice if it spread to the rest of the lineup.

K390 is not a difficult steel to sharpen, you could probably touch it up on the bottom of a coffee mug if you wanted.

Re: What knives in your collection keep wow-ing you?
Thank you kind mr necro man! I’ll add my Watu to this list, I seem to be in a perpetual honeymoon phase with this thing. Plus as a non spydie mention, I’ve got a few pieces from Takamura Cutlery’s cheaper, red handled, range that preform WAY above their price point. Nothing beats em as far as budge...

Re: Who also wants a hump?
Love that design. Especially on something smaller or without any gimping or choils or anything like that. It would also help with tip strength I’d think. I always wondered why the Jester disappeared, it seems like such a useful design. If one showed back up in the lineup in some more steel options I...

Still waiting on an lc200n blade beaten within an inch of its life to get posted here. Maybe I’ll just have to wait for my work knife to get some more hours in.

Annual price increase’s effect on unreleased models?
While I sit around eagerly awaiting the maple chap, the smallfly 2, and the C60 sprint, I’ve seen a lot of talk about the annual price increases. And I’m wondering if these increases will effect these still unreleased models. My collection, generally speaking, is pretty set. I don’t need much else f...

Re: Which LW Manix is hi toughness and stainless?
spy-27 would do well I'm sure, but I'm not familiar with it's toughness properties. The bd1n version would do well for you, it's a tried and tested kitchen knife steel. Won't chip like s30v and is a breeze to re-sharpen.

Re: Looking for SpydieChef feedback
Refer to my long term review. But in short no, It’s not good as a kitchen knife. It’s not ground nearly thin enough to preform even okay in the kitchen. It can take the abuse but it doesn’t preform well. I’d suggest finding a decent Japanese 5 to 5.5 inch petty knife with a saya. It preforms the sam...

Re: Wharncliffe Native 5?
I think it'd require some light handle redesigning, but yeah I'd love to see it, especially on more work oriented models like the salt.

I like the concept a lot, and I know Sal talked about carrying a modernized prototype a few months back.
I think we’ll see more of it in the future.

I’ve actually only got 2 folders in my roll right now, meaning my watu will probably be in my pocket. Even if it doesn’t match my ugly sweater :)

Re: Well that didn't take long...
You should look forward to putting an edge on this one! K390 is pretty fun to sharpen.
And I totally feel it, I’ve used a lot of different steels at work, and even s90v will dent when bashed into a countertop :D . Good to see people really using their knives though, keep it up!
