Re: CPM 20CV Thread
My only concern with it is that it will be 100% replaced by Magnacut once it’s widely available. And the fomo will be unbearable... I don't know about that...though for sure MagnaCut will be an awesome steel for most applications. The 20CV should still hold an edge longer, (unless my understanding ...

I like the way 20CV responds to the Spyderco medium bench stone.

Re: Spyderco shopping on Amazon - experiences
My relatively few knives purchased from Amazon have been authentic...and...the one time one came that was a bad example, it was replaced with an excellent example.
So, my experience overall has been positive. That said, I always go to the reputable dealer's sites first if possible.

Re: How does your Significant Other coexist with your knife collecting syndrome?
Syndrome? What?
My wife likes my knives, even though she's not a knife person per se.
She has always supported my interest in knives, has accompanied me to numerous Blade Shows, has friends in the knife community and is happy when I'm happy.
Syndrome? :p

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
It's made my job @ bladeforums dealing with the horde with their torches and pitchforks lots of fun. My faith in mankind is diminished by the actors on both sides of this matter. I haven't checked in over there is a few weeks. I can only imagine the response. It can't be much worse than some of the...

Re: Best way to sell Spyderco knives
Has anyone made experience how to deal with stuff like Customs when you buy/sell used goods from one private person to another internationally (especially US with EU)? Do they even apply? I have no clue... Anything that crosses the U.S. border at any point of entry or departure is subject to examin...

Re: Best way to sell Spyderco knives
I also use the BF Exchange pretty much exclusively to sell my knives (and occasionally IG), and I sell them at pretty much what it cost me to buy them plus shipping and PayPal fees. Quite a few times, I’ve seen them then show up on eBay at jacked-up prices, which really bugs me. So if you see my CC...

Re: Z-Wear Shaman Thoughts & Comparison Pics
Creepy!!! Not gonna lie...you look a lot like my dad did back in the 70's-80's! I'm going to have to have my mom dig out some pics and take a pic of it. Very similar, except he was rocking the sideburns. Kinda freaking me out! Son!!! :p I think I told you once that my first roommate in college was ...

Re: Z-Wear Shaman Thoughts & Comparison Pics
Awesome, fellow climbers! Indoor, outdoor or both? I’m mostly an indoor climber but have the ambition to do more outdoors bouldering once the weather permits it. My climbing days are behind me but I was pretty active from the early 70's to late 80's. East coast to west coast, Wind Rivers of Wyoming...

Re: Cruwear or Z-wear Shaman with G-10?
3V would be a great steel for the Shaman, imho.
The knife screams out for a tough, hard use steel. That's why Cru-Wear / Z-Wear made (make) so much sense.
I only have the M4 version, but it's an excellent example, so no complaints here despite having wanted the tougher steel.
