It all starts after Media day. The lucky ones get to shoot the guns at the outdoor range. It’s a fun time. I got to shoot some cool stuff at Media day. 45-70 Gatling gun and some serious long range rifles were my favorite

After reviewing the Bohler link above, am I wrong in assuming this is a high-toughness, low-CATRA steel? Bohler only gives 2/5 stars for wear resistance. Doesn't have loads of carbon or vanadium. Obscure idea. Any of our primitive skills people here ever try to replace a factory blade with an obsidian one? You can slice the obsidian on a diamond wheel, water Jet the pattern of the blade stock and then the last part is primitive skill knapping to have the sharpest Spydie ever. That is some bo...

PMP Alpha Beast has to be the thickest Magna Cut “Blade” although it’s more of a pocket folding crowbar. It a weapon, open or closed.

I smell a mule

I came across tantalum being made into rings and was wondering if it’s feasible with modern technology to make this material into a knife or an alloy of some kind using it. The properties seem interesting. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tantalum

Talking Spyderco stuff specifically here: I'm hoping for a look at the BBB folder collab, of course! If there's any new sharpening stuff coming down the line (especially if there is some sort of replacement of the discontinued ceramic stones in the works), that would be very interesting to me also....
