Brainstorming Pocket CLIP alternatives

Comrades, Call me crazy but I feel like pocket clips are the Achilles heal to the folders. Very few clips actually compliment the knifes design and so very few are truly deep carry. For centuries now, humans have been carrying folders without clips. I would guess the main use of the clip is to keep ...

Re: Show off your latest purchase

My Perrin PPT finally dropped in today. This is my first Taichung production spyderco and I can honestly say the fit and finish is better than anything I've seen yet in a spydie. I nearly need ear plugs when the blade locks up! The Ergo is insane. I'm not a scary daggery tactical carry kind of guy b...

Re: Kiwi Understated

I work on the water/tug boats and this kiwi 4 pulls a vanishing act every time I put it in my pocket. very deep carry and the backside of the knife is incredibly smooth. Zero drag getting into your pocket for other items. Long live the Kiwi 4! Funny little bug I've never seen landed on my blade. Per...

Re: Big Plum Lum and friends

Done anyone know how big of a run they did of the Black Almite with ZDP189? Seems like I rarely even see a VG10 in the black almite. Maybe that was a big run? According to spydiewiki, it was a run of 1,200 pieces. Thank you kindly good sir! And that spydie almite is a gem. I believe it was a specia...

Re: Kiwi Understated

Awesome knife that I think just got marketed wrong (Sorry Spyderco). It was originally a gent's knife and this version completely loses all formal gent knife appeal, and the peel ply G10/clip put it into the general EDC type category where there is a LOT of competition for the price this knife came...

Re: Kiwi Understated

These in-hand pics have me wondering why I did not consider a Kiwi4 before it was disco'd. Will CQI deliver us a Kiwi5, does anyone imagine? Fear not, there are plenty of new Kiwi4's on ebay right now. Great prices too! Love to see a kiwi5 with different scales or steel options. I really don't know...

Kiwi Understated

I couldn't decide where to put this post, but mainly wanted to open up the topic on this new purchase. I've seen a lot of reviews on the Kiwi 4 and decided to pop for it. My goal is to find a very versatile EDC that can really do it all. Well it came in the mail today, and as soon as I had it in han...

Big Plum Lum and friends

I've been away from spydie collecting for a very long time. It's good to be back. First day :D The g10 on the big guy reminds me of purple heart wood. How great "wood" spydie scales look in purple heart. Who's got other lum chinese folder collections? Luv to see them :) https://s30.postimg...

Re: LIL NILAKKA first thoughts

In fact it was not OK yet. I got another warping today... I have update my review with that infos and how I have fixed it. I took me 15 minutes. ;-) https://nemoknivesreview.com/2017/06/12/lil-nilakka-edge-rolling-out-to-fix/ But yes, it needs to go to the same path at the Nilakka. I wish Spyderco ...
