Partial Serration Opinions

After two negative 50/50 posts in "Solo Buttonlock??", I figured I'd question motives. Let me start by stating I do not own a 50/50 knife, but I am planning on buying one soon. I've seen posts indicating that partial serrations are not very desireable. I've always looked on this feature as...

My SS Calypso wobbles whilst half-way open too. It's doing fine after 6 months of moderate-light daily carry.

Thanks for the opinions and info! I'll prolly order one in the next two weeks or so!

Anyone else care to add their .02?

I'm aware about the update to the design and intended to be careful about that... even though I have no clue what exactily an eccentric pivot is. :-P

Thanks again

I'm with ya on the SS issue, Yog. Whilst I agree that moisture and weight are issues I don't really understand why there were so many anti-SS posts in "Culling Time" I've used enough at times to get blisters and had no trouble with grip. Maybe I should find a non-SS handle to carry for a b...

And... if you ignore Earthworm (who has given very sound advice!) make sure to have an SA&Stamped envelope with you so that you can drop the knife in a mailbox and it'll (hopefully!) get back to your house if someone gives you trouble. FYI - I had no problems with my SS Calypso on my holiday thi...

Hehheh. :-) I've been using my daily carry to open Coronas for years... What's always puzzled me is why does the weak little aluminum cap scar the stainless steel of the casing. I guess it’s all just a forcearea problem. I say leave the spydies as they are- beautiful and unmarred separation devices....

Shabaria lovers?

I'm considering a Shabaria... but I'm curious what those of you who have them think. I have moderatly long fingers if that matters...

Love? Lust? One night stand?

What is the public reaction like?

Thanks!

Sure! Great deal if you don't mind advertising for them or if you wanted the SS model)

I love my SS Calypso, I paid an extra $40 not to do that, what's it worth to you?

A little good will goes a long way. I'm proud to carry a product of a company who does nice little things like this.

How many good deeds get done while no one is watching anyway? ;-)

I hate to be the sensationalist, or speak of such traumatic times, but boys will be boys... My first spydie experiance was in Junior High - 10 or so years ago. I was quickly pushed up against a secluded locker and found myself eye to blade with a _gigantic_ Endura! (I'll never forget that hole in th...
