Re: Ack! Both Pac Salt 2 SE variants are on sale. Help me decide!

I have owned both and used both. The new LC200N version is a better all around knife.

Re: Spyderco's ATS-55 Era of the late 90s

I had some ATS-55 Spyderco's and they were exceptionally well made knives. Years ago when I decided I was not a collector I sold all of them or gave some away.

I would guess that leaves me with about 30 Spyderco knives. With maybe 3 I would say I won't use and are collectors.

Re: Went all in on S110V

I am loving the steel. I was carrying PM2 and Military in S30V for the last few years. I was always touching up on the sharp maker to keep them sharp. The S30V is a good steel and a light touch up brought them back to sharp very quickly. Now with the S110V I have not needed a touch up as the edge is...

Re: poll: preference of production or exclusives/sprints?

I like a lot of the sprints and exclusives, but I am internet lazy so I cant keep up with what is going on. Next, I see a Spyderco I like and then find out it was a sprint or exclusive. Then I look to see it sold out. Finally, I find one on EBay marked up 300% and I pass.

There is a guy in Russia (don't remember his name) that makes CF scales. They are a little pricey, but I have really enjoyed them.
His name is Aramis Akhmedov
Thank you!

Re: Went all in on S110V

The only one of the 3 of those you've displayed that I currently own is the Blurple, S110V, Para2 model. But it is one of my favorites of all the Para2 models I currently own. I actually like S110V. To me it's very similar to the old ZDP-189 in many aspects. I'm a fan of so many of the great blade ...

It's a wonderful steel and it's a smart collection.

You *DO* need to add a S110V Manix, though!

I have one. A light weight, I bought years ago. Just did not love the light weight version. It is still in my collection, though.

Re: Went all in on S110V

My favorite series of knives is the Military and Para Military. They are perfect knives for me and then I decided the steel I want to use is S110V. So I decided to retire my other Military and Para Military and go with this steel.

Went all in on S110V

I went with the full series and these knives will they be my EDC knives for the foreseeable future. IMG_7207.jpeg The Military is probably my favorite all around knife design. Perfect for food prep. The Para 2 is the perfect carry knife for days when I am out and don't plan on using my knife as much...

Re: Which GOLDEN ERA Model Should Be Next?

I would love to see a thoroughly modern version of the C-50 Centofante. I always though that knife was a real slicer. I would also like to see the original Temperance fixed blade brought back with the original handle and blade pattern in a super steel. This is a fantastic knife. I think a steel like...

Re: Your 2021 Spyderco Knife of the Year !

Pacific Salt 2 in LC200N with full serrations. The steel is a real improvement over the older version and the Neon green handle pushed it over the top for me. One really sweet folder. It was the only real competition for my Plain Jane S30V Military which see's the most pocket time.

Re: Looking for advice on disposing of my Spydies

Could you ship them to Arizona Custom knives and let them sell them for you? They take a percentage, but they would be legally sold and they are excellent.

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

This is an excellent thread. I went through sort of a sharpening journey in my life. I started sharpening knives seriously around 20 years ago. I have tried too many sharpening systems to even list. I got so into sharpening I would take large Busse fixed blades and spend hours literally creating the...

Re: Two Obscure Spyderco Gems: The C-56 Zowada & The Rookie

I had a Zowada like 20 years ago. Is it that old? Am I that old? It was a seriously cool piece. At some point I sold it in the search for the perfect knife. It was not perfect for me, but it was a very pleasing knife aesthetically. Oh I think I remember why you sold it and which model you replaced ...
