No, really it is excellent.

In my reading I found that some Ultem material from a certain country is not of the highest quality. Just like blades steels, you can mark it anyway you want, but it doesn't make the material match the label.

I have a set. They are excellent scales, IMO.

Thanks for posting that. When us Non-SMEs post something like that we get the ol' evil eye. You, as a known SME, will carry more weight when you post about AEB-L.

It can have embedded fiber in the mix, just like FRN/FRCP. Looks like the black version would be welcomed more easily.

Apparently there is a range of Ultem and it's made by more than one company. Colors can be black or range from well hydrated golden yellow to severely dehydrated dark yellow-orange. :hushed-face This might explain some of the varying results people are seeing.
