It does ride high for it's size, but I haven't found it to be a problem. Since the knife is so thin I haven't even snagged it on anything. No problems. :) Clip profile in a cargo pants pocket and a jeans pocket: http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t210/Krepo11/MWClipProfile1.png http://i161.photobuck...

The Forester was produced quite a while ago and I do remember cases where Spyderco included Tek-Lok's with their fixed blades, probably before the G-clip even existed, don't know. This one is probably of later stock with a G-clip.

WTF happened to it? (I'm not quite buying Doc's explanation on this one... :D )

We demand to see the rest of its remains!
I just wanna see what it did to the other liner and lockbar, and in how many pieces the scales are. :)

I just saw this recently at the universitys material engineer students IRC channel as well. First of all to clear this up, it's not just a process, it's a whole new material. This stuff is not steel anymore, a hybrid of water and metal. Like CF is a hybrid of carbon fiber strings and epoxy. As cool ...

I have a no-brand stainless cheapo throwing star, they sure are fun and don't require much skill to just make it stick. Cheaper ones will work just fine for what they cost. Knowing CS those will surely take a beating though. ;) Keep in mind that those are illegal in most US states and other countrie...

That's pretty much how I did it too. I just started by sanding down the hump. When working with the tip I only went one way (pulling motion) so I wouldn't poke into things. Also if you want it shinier, if you have a strop and stropping compound, you can polish it up on the strop, or you can apply th...

Unfortunately these kits are internal parts only. i think this is it - http://www.hotdealshop.com/html/productOverviewNew.aspx?prdId=24550FR042011 WTF? AFAIK that's more than what Spyderco charges, I don't think they sell them to other dealers. Which would mean they bought a bunch from the factory ...

FRN Manix2 is NOT out yet, it is a pre-order. The same pre-order exists in Knifecenter and Knifeworks for example, they just list it as a pre-order.

The tip should be like a frigging needle. If the "straight mark" is parallel to the grind lines it might be an imperfection, if its not, it's a scratch from... somewhere. Doesn't sound new to me, hope you didn't pay too much for it. Pics will help. :)
