Re: Lets talk about high carbide steels

As we've seen so far in the thread, appreciation for high carbide steels is gonna depend on use. Just wanted to say that it's super neat that we can see a broad spectrum of use here on the forum :)

Imo, S110v and the like are cardboard killers.

Re: Lets talk about high carbide steels

I think the only steel I actively avoid is s35vn. Everything else seems to work pretty well. I have S110v on my "home improvement knife" and it's cut cardboard and pretty much everything else as needed to finish projects. Sure, it's not crazy hair splitting after a day of working with floo...

Re: Desperate need of help

I'm glad you were able to find them, but it's terrible that you got victimized essentially twice - once with the theft and then again needing to pay to get it back...

Something really grinds my gears about that.

Re: Ethnic Series Questions...

I know there's been a friction folder before. Maybe a Higo pattern would also work well. Seki, of course! I'd like to see a higo pattern, but the friction folder didn't do so well, it seems, so I'm not gonna hold my breath. That's fair. Sprints are probably a good idea while we see the reaction to ...

The Shaman is getting a decent reaction in the marketplace. I'm sure that one way or another, there will be upgrades.

Re: Chokwe Dreams

I'm not sure if this would work for a sprint run, but if a normal production "Lil chokwe" is made, maybe have some of the proceeds go to a local cause like the original? :)

The story behind the series and the models would also be helpful. sal Sal, the more Spyderco knives I acquire and use, the more I appreciate the bolder designs. The ethnic series is no different! Reading up on the Chokwe, I definitely need to share tha...
