Re: Thanks, Spyderco!
I have to say, I was extremely impressed by all of the staff, from the folks holding the raffles and challenges in line to the folks at the registers and on the floor helping with logistics. Every Spyderco team member was enthusiastic and also very knowledgeable about all of the products. What a gr...

Larger, chunkier, carbides, where when the steel is sharpened the matrix is worn away a bit more between the carbides?

Re: Straight Forward Comments About Spyderco's From Another Forum
Thirty years ago I had a coworker that was ordering a couple of Endura's. At that point in time I had never carried a knife, but I thought the Endura was a bit big for what I would use it for, so I bought a couple of Delica's. (I still have them.) At the sake of sounding like a broken record, the de...

Straight Forward Comments About Spyderco's From Another Forum
On the Badger & Blade shaving forum, (badgerandblade.com,) there's a sub-forum called," What Is Your EDC Knife?" One forum member, BradWorld, hadn't been posting pictures of his EDC's for a while because he was carrying his new favorite, a Para Military 2 with S110V, and thought it wou...

Re: Giving the gift of a Spyderco
I've always tried to give knives that people will use. I've given knives to friends and neighbors who would have a need for and know how to use knives, and to people who don't know they need a better knife. Thin Redline Delica's and Endela's to the neighbors who are volunteer firemen in town for the...

It looks like the weather will be nice and mild this coming week. The forecast on Saturday is for nearly 60 F with partly cloudy skies. Partly cloudy skies in Colorado means a cloud here or there, or high cirrus clouds across the sky. The weather could be a lot worse.

Re: Your Username...why did you choose it?
I picked Pokey because I've been accused of being slow. I prefer to think of it as methodical, with attention to detail.
And, once I'm done sharpening friends knives, (using the Sharpmaker, of course,) they can easily tell which end is the pokey end!

Re: CCW revolver
I went out to the range earlier this year with a long time neighbor. Her husband passed away suddenly last year and she wanted to learn how to use his guns. We brought out both pistols and revolvers. She really took a liking to shooting .38 Spl & +P’s in the Ruger LCR. (wasn’t interested in tryi...

Re: Manix 2 52100 question
All of the DLC factory seconds I have were marked after the DLC coating was applied, like Mike said. I’d agree with Gtscotty and Giygas, it does look touched up. Rest assured, if it is a factory second it will work fine and any flaws are purely cosmetic. I really can’t tell why many of my factory se...

Re: Sold Out Dates for Mules?
MT34: CPM REX T15 • June 27 2023 • $75 • SO: 2 mo & ongoing Out of stock now. Not sure if that means sold out yet. Not really, I stopped by the SFO last Thursday and they have the CPM REX T15 in stock. (As well as the AEB-L, and SPY27 straight spine blades.) They may be keeping these on hand fo...

Re: About grounding/earthing
I’ve worked in the aerospace industry for a bit over 30 years and we always use ESD (electro-static discharge) wrist bands and cables to bleed off any kind of tribo-charging.
I would imagine it’s the same as grounding/earthing.

Re: About grounding/earthing
I don’t know much about it but I spend a lot of time outside barefoot. I’ve always heard my hippie friends talk about being barefoot for grounding. I’m not much of a hippie, more of a country boy, but I am almost always barefoot when working in the garden. I have done it since I was a kid and as I ...
