Call me cheap... but I'm using a refurbed Kodak EasyShare C190. 12 meg and I think I spent just over $100 with the 2year replacement warranty.
We use Fuji dslr's at work, but they take some trial and error after getting used to the nikon's we had before them.

woo! new career!
Yep, time for another move. In the last 10 years, since entering the workforce officially (ignoring the usual paper runs, babysitting, and driveway work), I've had 5 employers and many positions. This current employer has seen me through 3 departments in 4 years. I've also managed to just about quad...

+1 to this sentiment. To this day I'm pretty sure my strong avdocacy for underdogs and victims of intimidation and similar are largely a direct result of my own experiences as a kid who was a little bit different and not very big (until high school when I got more into average size range). While I ...

depending on how bad the edge is to start, I go 200 -> 3 -> 500 -> 800 -> :spyder: grey (medium, ~1000) -> :spyder: white (fine, ~1200) -> 6k (2.0 micron paste) -> 8k (0.5 micron paste)... and finish my edge with the medium grit quite often (just a few strokes at a higher angle and almost no pressur...

You'll get the best results by making a full progression through the grits, or at least in 200 grit jumps. This allows you to refine the scratch patterns and get a shaving edge. While you COULD use a few strops and progressive grits on them, that doesn't sound like what you're asking about. The &quo...

... speaking of it leaving the victims scarred... [just deleted a 1/2 page rant/description of the experiences I had] How did it change me? Knowing the system doesn't work, I have no respect for authority, only the individual if they have earned it. I'm not threatened or angered easily, and intimida...

Your sheath sounds exactly like what I want for some fixed blades. I'm looking for a v-shaped sheath with left and right access that will fit in the small of my back and attach to my belt. I just had to poke through email, I don't have any pics of it. I'll see if I can get a workable shot for you. ...

I think the reason more left handed people are ambidextrous is they are forced to be. For myself, having two older right handed brothers, hand-me-downs were quite normal. Hockey sticks, baseball gloves, golf clubs, guitars... all made for righty :D Both sides of my family have ambidextrous people, ...

I feel your pain. I used to sell excess computer parts. When we built a new house we had to put a lot of stuff in (paid) storage for about 9 months. It included box after box of cables, cards, drives, optical jukeboxes etc. About a month after moving into the new place I took an entire pickup load ...

This thread needs some hoarding pics  My problem is that I do IT work on systems of all ages, as well as jobs of all sizes. So I keep a LOT of parts. Worst part is cables though. Think I need to get rid of anything under 6' and put ends on em all. Just ordered a 25' DB9 extension M-F cable. ~3...
