Re: Your Favorite Big And Small Spyderco EDC

My current favorite pair is made up of the S110V G10 Manix 2 and the Ladybug Hawkbill Salt. I tend to find that they complement each other quite well: Big and Small Plain and Serrated Leaf and Hawkbill Robust and Lightweight I find that a big/small pair brings useful versatility and makes it possibl...

Re: Why All the Techno Love

I think the beauty of the Techno is in its quirks. It's not the best slicer, it's generally overbuilt for its size, and it's not necessarily the most ergonomic. On an objective level, plenty of other knives are better performers. However, I still find that I'm drawn to it. It's dense, compact, has a...

Re: 100 Paces

The demo model used on the video at KnifeNews says CTS-XHP. Hopefully that's the production choice.

Re: "Lil" Knives

I have to say that I'm enjoying this trend of smaller versions of these models. It not only makes them a bit easier to carry in some areas but it's neat to see the effort that goes into making a design work at a smaller size. I've been wondering if a mini Caribbean would be a viable option down the ...

I signed up for it around the time that the PDF was released. I haven't received it yet, but I'm anxiously awaiting it's arrival.

The PDF is beautiful, but there's just something great about having the physical catalog in hand.

Re: Purpose of a Business?

Here are some of my thoughts on the purpose of a business: Create a profitable/sustainable business model: This allows the company to survive long enough to take part in some other key things. It also fulfills the need to ensure that the shareholders/entrepreneurs benefit from the endeavor. Take car...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

My main EDC today is the Mantra 1. The Dragonfly 2 also decided to tag along as it usually does because it just disappears in the pocket.

Re: Evil D

My biggest request with paper catalogs is to try to make the pics true to size when possible. If I could be certain that every model in the catalog was presented in true to size pics, my interest in a physical catalog would increase 100%. Yes, that's important........ I found that the photo of the ...

Re: If someone wanted to buy you a Spyderco for your birthday...

That's a tough one. I would probably pick something from the S110v line. I've had my eye on a G10 S110v Manix for a while. Beyond that line, the Sage 5 probably would be one of my top choices too.

Re: Forgive me

How would it compare on both size and feel to the Dragonfly? I use my DragonFly that Dan gave to me daily... I've always liked the Techno though. The Dragonfly and Techno are among my favorites! In terms of overall size, they tend to be similar. While closed, they are close to the same length with ...

Re: Forgive me

The Techno certainly has quite the personality. Some get it instantly and for others it seems to grow on them after awhile.

It's a special model to me personally since it was my first titanium and Taichung knife. It's such a robust little big knife.

Glad to hear that many of you like it too!

I've been looking to get a Manix 2 as well. I'm just stuck between the S30V G10 and the two S110V variants.

Keep us posted on how you like it! It certainly seems like a solid choice from everything I've heard so far.
