Removing the map pricing will actually destroy the market for business owners.
They only had MAP for what... 6 years? I don't think there is anyone who would say the market was "destroyed" before that.

Re: Value folders

I would plead that consideration be made to move production to Golden. Maybe change it to a compression lock to please the masses. I've said it before... a comp lock Polestar would be the most perfect knife ever made. It's the perfect size and I think it would essentially become the "PM2"...

I will say the LT3 does not readily come out of the pocket. The clip pushes deeply and firmly into the G10’s indexing divot.
I bent the clip out a little to relieve some of the pressure and it works great. It was like trying to pull a small alligator off my pocket.

Re: The Lil' Temperance 3 Lightweight: A comprehensive review

I'm looking forward to this one. I remember when the G10 version came out in 2016, I was interested but never purchased one. Had I known the defensive design inputs I definitely would have bought one to try. Well, you're in luck. It's still available at some retailers, such as DLT Trading for $211....

Re: The Elephant In The Reveal (besides the BBB Manix): The Lil Temperance LW Price

I remember when people thought the cost of a Shaman was too high. "But I can get a PM2 with black g-10 and s30v for cheaper". I remember it was slow to catch on because of that. Slowly as more and more people actually handled and used the knife (myself included), people found that it was ...

Re: The Elephant In The Reveal (besides the BBB Manix): The Lil Temperance LW Price

The point of it is that it is a seriously robust folder. I didn't mean "what's the point" of the model in general. The question was "what's the point" of making it in FRN and VG-10. It wasn't selling well, so the 2 options were dropping the model or reinventing it to make the pr...

Re: The Elephant In The Reveal (besides the BBB Manix): The Lil Temperance LW Price

I think people's frustration all comes down to the same question of "what was the point"? We seem to be back at square one, seeing a product that isn't competitive with similar offerings. I think it's destined to sit on shelves like the g10 version.

Re: The Elephant In The Reveal (besides the BBB Manix): The Lil Temperance LW Price

I just saw the G-10 version is actually still available at a few places for the 2019 price of $211. The fact that they're still lingering at that price in some inventories isn't a good sign.

Re: The Elephant In The Reveal (besides the BBB Manix): The Lil Temperance LW Price

When I think of knives getting the LW FRN treatment, I think of things like the Chaparral. Taking costly knives and democratizing them for the budget-conscious knife afis. It saddens me that a cool knife like the Lil Temperance LW remains inaccessible for many. When the LT3 was discontinued in (I t...

Re: Your value line knives

How do you like it compare to other fillet knives? Is it more of an all purpose that works well enough? Or is it good enough to be a dedicated fillet knife? I haven't tried it for filleting because it doesn't flex. I just use it for general outdoors stuff when I'm fishing, like cutting up bait or g...

Although $46 now, when it was released at $32.50 a few years ago I thought it was the best value in their lineup and one of the best values in all of the knife world.

Re: Do we really need a finger choil ?

The more I read these debates, the more I think that when people prefer a choil on a medium/large knife, it's more psychological than physical. A Tenacious, Caribbean, Lil Temp 3 (etc.) will put your hand naturally right up against the edge, which is identical to the hand position of a choil. But si...

Re: My Military S110V arrived, very stiff!

It is however, very stiff. It is nothing like the PM2 which was almost glass smooth. I know this one has the liner lock. Is that the difference? When I hold the knife open horizontally and press in the liner lock it does come down freely to my thumb, but then I have to close it the rest of the way ...

Re: Is this normal spyderhole finish? [Seki city quality]

Nice design, very comfortable, but finish is meh... Action is worse for now than in any knife from Spyderco I have. I have an LT3. The action will never be "drop shut" on this model. You'll always need a firm shake to close the blade or you need to use 2 hands. As far as the inside of the...

I'd like to think he commissioned a hand engraved, gold-handled Mosquito and has it sitting on a shelf somewhere.

Re: Hardware kits, and a word of warning...

I see Flytanium has a hardware kit for the PM2, so this is my question: Will the PM 2 hardware work on the Manix2 (tube, pivot, spacers, screws) On Flytanium's site, there is a "contact" link at the bottom which gets you to their email address. That seems like a good question to ask the c...

I’m a little bummed that I missed out on the m4 micarta but hey…such is life.
But the m4 micarta Shaman has been available at BladeHQ since July 26. Unless you don't want DLC.
