Yah, I'm having trouble with my 204 sharpmaker. I've only tried sharpening with it about 3 times, but I've had no luck, even with high quality kichen kives. I can't get it sharp enough to shave or cut paper.



Do any of you have advice/pointers on it?

Hmm... it does seem like this guy has a valid point. I know I could open my calypso jr. by simply flicking my wrist, which is centrifical (sp?) force... so it is illegal.

But can't any knife be opened like that?

Hmmmm... I just recieved my sharpmaker with video in the mail today. The video is great, and Sal does an excelent job of covering everything needed. I'm not too sure how you'd get a copy, though.

Hey, don't take stuff like that for granted, kk. I have 1 store in my city with spydercos. 7 knives total, one is the card, one is a trainer, 2 are not in stock. Serated delicas (frn and ss), and a copilot. That's it

I bought a calypso jr. which developed blade play after about a week (got me through the packages of christmas well) and returned it <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

But I'm gonna get a new start with my wegner jr on the way!

"kinda" off topic? haha I don't know, as I've only tried one game for game cube, and haven't even seen an x-box... so I'll have to stick with the pong system. Best gaming system ever made... the radio shack one, with the 4 different pong games. I offered my friend 20$ for it, and he payed ...

LOL sharp1 I was considering making a nice, sentsitive letter about the salsa... but I thought it would be out of place, because I don't think anyone will take my oppinion seriously, and know nothing about the quality of the knife. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I like ugly black and metal k...

Ag! So I bought myself a wegner jr. plain edge, but I barely know anything about it! I don't think I've ever touched a knife for more than 10 seconds that's tip up, hollow groud, ats-34(35?), drop point, g-10, or inside lock (don't know what it's called)... yet I decided to buy one istead of a mouse...

I haven't handled the salsa, but I have to say that the pictures turn me right off... as my first season checking out Spyderco knives, I found them either unique, interesting, or ugly. Those are all good, IMHO... but it seems that the new season's knives are full of color, and little features, and &...

I'm actually looking for a straight edge

Hmmmmm... for my first knife (after that return) I want to pick up a little one, since I found even a 2 1/2 inch blade much bigger that I normally needed for my cutting tape, string, packaging, etc. So the mouse sounded like a nice plan, and I still plan on getting one from bladeart.com maybe tomorr...
