I always thought the air was a very elegant design and was spyderco most traditional looking. I guess it would need to be modified to have a better ethos to hold open.

I think you caused a stir Sal. All of us eagerly awaiting a new Caly 3.5 got VERY excited. Hopefully this causes enough of a stir that we will see one soon

Not to derail the thread, but Sal, when you say Hitachi will ship to “us” do you mean just the American facility or to any spyderco production facility? Because a super blue Sliverax with grey g10 would be fantastic.

It sure how feasible it is, but it seems like with the varied responses to this knife that maybe a poll conducted by spyderco would give some good feedback on designs before going into production.

Man I would have really loved this knife if not for that inlay. A simple bug inlay would have been classier. The red and web kill it. I guess scale swap is an option

I vote for the Sliverax. With the Pakkawood Delica as second.

I would love to see a caly 4 or caly XL. Same handle shape and ergos just slightly bigger with a slightly thicker blade. FRN would be cool. A version with compression lock would be REALLY cool. I'd also be happy with just more caly 3.5 variants.

I used super blue caly 3.5 to cut my sons cord. At the time I owned three spyderco and it was the best option. Now, with more options available I would still choose it. I hope that the popularity of the super blue, hap40, and it seems like the pakkawood is getting a good response, that spyderco will take another chance with g10 or full liner enduras and delicas.

With the arrival of the Pakkawood Delica and Endura models, is it reasonable to expect new G10 models on the horizon? Construction is basically the same. Possibly a production model and not a sprint?

Also hope the caly 3.5 gets the hap40 as well. Even ok with the green scales but burnt orange g10 would be even cooler

looking forward to this! Can Finally get a salt knife! never liked the squared handles or clips on the last ones. Feel like these changes are long over due.

I changed my clip position as well and had no issues with the screws. They were snug but I didn't see any evidence of locktite.
