For some, the idea of a knife that can be more easily, and positively, identified in case of theft and recovery, is a plus.
Interesting way to look at it.

Would be kind of cool if Spyderco would put serial numbers on each and every blade like some flashlight companies do with their flashlights.

So many option, lol... I wanted a plain edge, without the hollow ground and black handles. Did not see it in a ladybug but see it is a option with the manbug. :) no White or Ti ladybug or manbug? How about a moonglow (glow in the dark) model? Anyway can't wait to get my first ladybug. It may just be...

Wow, thanks!

How about the combo blades? Looks like only about 1/2 the blade is serrated?

Maybe just the same options at the fully serrated models?

Thanks,

How many types of blades options does the Ladybug have now?

Looking at the Ladybugs. Last time I was "into" knives VG-10 was the latest, greatest steel and I loved the few Spyderco's I had with VG-10. Over the weekend I started looking at the Ladybugs and ordered a black plan edge VG-10 model. Looking at the Ladybug more tonight I see there is also...

Thanks for the replies,

Just took a look at both the Assist and the ATR.
The Assist don't look like my type of thing, the ATR looks deadly, but I like it. lol...

I really like Salsa I had so I guess there is really only one thing to do, watch ebay for one.

Spyderco's with the thing above the hole like the Salsa?

Use to have a Salsa years ago and one thing I really liked about it was the hood thing above the hole.

I'm on the hunt for a new Spyderco and was wondering what models have this option now if any.

I have scrolled through the online spyderco catalog and could not find any.

Thanks,

Are they available in another thread or still in the works?
