Re: St. Nick's Knives Exclusive Para 3

I'm very surprised they lasted as long as they did. Good job everyone! Now in a week we'll be seeing pics of them all!

I’ve never had a dlc blade before. I’m going to enjoy watching the coating wear off with use. Kinda like a reverse patina kind of way.
You'll be hard pressed to get that coating off with normal use. It's pretty tough.

I'm starting to get the itch for this one. It all depends if I'm off work at noon (EST) on Tuesday. If not, oh well, hopefully they make another run.

Re: St. Nick's Knives Exclusive Para 3

Yeah, I'm in the pass club too. Got 2 Para 3s that sit in boxes as it is and I doubt I'd be very eager to use a non-stainless variety (DLC'd or not). Great colors though. If it was 20CV or 204P I'd be all over it.

Re: Spydie Talk: Q&A, random info, knife chat

Why is the logo on the Polestar and Alcyone incorrect? The spider head is shaped wrong and missing the triangle cutout. http://www.decadecounter.com/vta/misc/alcyonelogo.jpg http://www.decadecounter.com/vta/misc/alcyoneclip.jpg I'm by no means an expert but the only time I've seen misshapen Spyderc...

Re: OD Green PM2?

I'm seriously eyeing this PM2. I just hope they don't sell out before Friday(payday). I already have a DLC s30v PM2 but I really like these green scales. KC & DLT are both selling these. There may be some other dealers too. I could be wrong but I don't think they're going to sell out real fast....

Re: St. Nick's Knives Exclusive Para 3

Do you know how many knives this run is? From a couple pages back in this thread... Is there any word on how big the run is? I don't know exactly how big the run is but I was told there'll be somewhere around 575 available for sale. Thanks. I looked thru the previous pages but couldn't spot it.

Re: St. Nick's Knives Exclusive Para 3

I don't know much about 4V but from what I've read on this forum it's a great steel. Is it stainless? Is i comparable to any other "super steel" that is used for knife blades these days? Thanks in advance for any info. It's in the category of M4, Cruwear, Rex45, it's claim to fame is it's...

Re: What’s your favorite or most used Spyderco?

I mainly carry my blurple s110v Para 3. If I want to fancy it up a bit I'll take out my blue Para 3 in M390 with blue anodized titanium deep carry clip. The s110v does most of my daily cutting.

Re: Spyderco Folders converted into Fixed Blades question.

The Dragonfly, exactly the same dimensions but fixed. That's basically an ARK with a different blade shape. And handle shape. ;) I totally see your point. I have handled the ARK thinking along the same lines, but the dragonfly shape, as a whole, feels more comfortable for day to day use, to me. Yea...

Re: Just Ordered Para 3 Number 17 Brown CPM S35VN.....

I only have 3 of them but I only use 1 every day. The other 2 are exclusives and I don't want to muck them up with use. I'm on the fence about this philosophy of use. I want all the different varieties of steels and G10 but it's hard to watch them just sit around and not get used. Any suggestions fo...

Congrats, it's a great knife! I have a set of black canvas micarta scales being made for mine as we speak. :D I have another on the way from Massdrop, perhaps I should scale swap it... mmmm If you haven't done a scale swap on the Para 3 before...
