I'd go plain edge for sure. Both mine are PE. I save full SE for H-1 models usually, and I think the PE really fits the nice sweeping blade of the Stretch 2.

I'd say D2 is definitely more corrosion resistant than M4 (D2 is almost stainless). I believe M4 is MUCH tougher.
