I like wave openers a lot, I can play with my Emerson karambit for hours. :) On Spydies, I prefer the look of non-factory waves such as those made by STR cutting the whole instead of having both the hole and the wave like on the factory knives. I'm going to give a local maker a couple of Byrd knives...

Get one! You won't regret it. If you like 3" blades for EDC, the G10 Delica is one of the best. Definitely my favourite, the handle works a lot better for me than the Caly3 handle.

Just the pic, I haven't scratched it yet. But I will! I know it's supossed to be an MBC design, but it's such a great utility blade I'll carry it quite often. I alredy used it quite a bit today and I'm very happy with it.

I think both the G-10 Endura and Delica are brilliant knives. Besides my regular job, I sell knives, and from a dealers perspective I think markg nailed it. People were not interested in a more expensive Endura. To most of my customers Enduras and Delicas mean affordable quality, and only those who ...

Here are a couple of very bad pics. I took one with my S&W M&P because they're both ugly as sin tools, IMO of course, that work well! http://lh5.ggpht.com/_m00djtg38R0/S4QyJkl6JkI/AAAAAAAABV8/tGBj9U7thuI/s640/100_2529.JPG http://lh6.ggpht.com/_m00djtg38R0/S4QyKvHXhbI/AAAAAAAABWA/xRsWTCtEJi4/...

Add--I have same rule for knife shows, gun shops and casinos: leave the credit cards in the car and only take the cash you plan to leave there,... That's very wise. One of my best friends works there, and I usually go shooting with one of the owners. So even if I don't have cash or a credit card on...

I'm weak...

I went to a friend's gun shop today to chat a bit before heading to work and after explaining all the very well thought out reasons for not buying the NIB Yojimbo he had for sale I made the mistake of holding it. Now I'm $230 poorer. :D It's a funny looking design, but it works. No doubt about that....

Leafstorm request

I like the looks of this knife but I can't get a decent idea of it's size from the pictures I've seen.

Can any of you guys post a picture of the Leafstorm with another Spydie for comparison? Maybe a Delica 4 or something like that.

Thanks!

I only carry H1 Spydies IWB, anything else would just desintegrate due to my corrosive sweat. I carry at 1 o'clock if I'm going to be using the knife with my right hand, or at 11 o'clock if I'm going to be using it with my left hand. Being ambidextrous is a great excuse to carry twice as many Spydie...

The one time I used a non-H1 bladed Spydie in the kitchen, it didn't turn out very well for me. It ended up with ugly stains all over the blade. Those aren't ugly stains, mate, that's the start of a lovely patina! :D 52100, like any other carbon steel, will react to some of the acids in food and ge...

You owe it to yourself to try out a Spyderco with a full flat grind. If you want to stick with the Delica design, try to find one of the foliage green G-10 ones (they've got FFG blades). Either the Para and the Military would be a great choice. Since you seem to favour shorter blades, you might want...

New guy with two questions

I registered on this forum a while ago but only started reading it recently, it seems like a great place. I've been bitten by the Spydie bug since getting a Viele and a Walker a few years back from a gun shop that was going out of business. I tried to fight it for a while, repeating that Spydercos l...
