I have need of an Assist at work so bought one and didn't initially 'get it' until I picked it up wearing my work gloves. Cue epiphany. It has a meaty handled blade for bad places and feels too bulky in the ungloved hand-put gloves on and it functions like a switch coming on. It's the knife you have...

As a Scotsman, a Policeman in Scotland and formerly a Policeman in London I can only recommend anything non-locking. The UKPK is the way to go Spyderco wise otherwise a Swiss army knife. Remember even a black G10 UKPK could attract unecessary attention from largely NKP society. I carry a UKPK off-du...

Spyderco Videos

With the advent of Broadband for a fair few of us will Spyderco ever be in the mood to put their various Dealer, Sharpmaker, etc. videos on the website for everyone to download and enjoy? A lot of people will soon do without VCRs in the digital revolution and saved Sharpmaker copy on your computer t...

Try the UKPK-it won't upset the waiter and if you decide you needed a lockback after all then the steak was too tough :)

Deep carry, wire style clip with blued type finish is also part of the UKPK ethos. What doesn't get seen does't attract attention amongst UKNKP.

Six Years of Spydercos

I just posted my 100th post which is a wee bit out as I joined 2000 when living in Amsterdam. I lost a few posts when the user IDs got messed around but still an enjoyable reminder of the time spent with Spyderco. It got me thinking of what Spydercos I have let pass through my hands in that time and...

I always carry the uluchet for kindling etc when camping due it compact size. The handles are crying out for a rethink though ans Sal could be the man.

Can anyone confirm exactly what clips from the Knifekits website fits what knives? Any or none or only some? I fancy new clips for my Yojimbo and Lum Tanto.
Ha anyone got any experience of them?

Another vote for the UKPK. I'm LEO over here in the UK and even I don't carry a Lockback off duty. The clip is dull blued metal colour and rides so only the top of the G10 shows. A standard, non serrated NKP friendly blade shape and no lock removes nearly all legal and moral challenges in a Non Knif...

The UKPK is in my pocket everyday. It solves a British problem in that it is hands down, 100% EDC legal and stops any potential Police run-ins. A most discrete carry clip, simple effective lines and its a winner.
