I must say though that even though the prices are high it is nice to handle them in person. The size of some of them really surprised me even though i knew the dimensions of them.

I personally love my para and its comp lock. I dont own a military so i cant make a comparison that way, but i like the comp lock a lot more than liner locks and the frame lock on my Kershaw Leek.

If you read a bit of the first page of this thread it explains it pretty well. There's also a picture (of Dave Lowry's) that really helped me understand it.

I just bought a para a few months ago and I am really liking the comp lock. What spydercos have this lock? I know the ATR does but what else?

Hey Dave, thanks for the great pics. Would you mind if i borrowed some of them to make a background with? I have one of the new black ones as well but i cant take pictures worth a ****.

I have a question about the hawkbill. Do you find that the tip of the knife gets dull faster than the rest of it? Also is it a difficult profile to sharpen? I imagine it would be, but i have never actually used one.

Just out of curiosity, where do you work? I also live in Saskatoon.

I have gotten many nasty glares about my para when i spyder drop it. I dont really care though. I just continue what im doing and put it right back in my pocket. The worst though is when i carry my ao leek. Wow that gets sheeples attention.
