Looks like new graham already discounted the Bowie to $250 and they are all gone.

Re: I'm going over to Buck

In regards to Spyderco knives, I still haven't found anything I like more for the money. I keep trying other stuff, but I always come back here eventually. I wouldn't be surprised if you did, too. As far as prepping, I wish more people would take the prophylactic approach; vaccination over stockpil...

That’s hot! I like it.
I’m moving away from pm2 and more to the p3 or calys. Not sure I’m in on this one but I like the concept.

Re: Mule Team

If I were purchasing a new Mule it would be the LC200N for sure. I have the CPM20cv which is also an amazing steel. I think Todd is correct. Lc200n is really good. Basically it will never rust (like h1) and the edge holding is similar to vg10 in my limited experience. 20cv is the same as m390 or 20...

Re: I feel like the only person who likes S30V in 2017

I recently counted the number of different steels in my collection. It’s 25. S30v is well represented. It’s a really good balanced steel. It’s not so great for thin edges as they tend to chip. But for most of my purchases, s30v doesn’t hold me back.

Re: How did you discover Spyderco?

Had a few random knives over the years and occasionally pick one up on a whim. Picked up a knife from REI a few years ago of a different make and was very disappointed. Started to search for what knife I should have purchased. Found a few other makes that are ok. Resisted those “weird” spydercos for...

Re: Sprints and Exclusives Killing Regular Production Models?

Don’t think sprints are killing regular production. But if a new model comes out I do consider if a sprint will likely be on the way.
The q ball I got right away. One eyed jack too.
But I waited for cruwear on the para 3.

Nice write up Eli.
I tend to do the same with other brands.
With spydies, I’m more willing to just buy and see what I like and dont. I’m usually not disappointed and more likely pleasantly surprised.

Re: Can someone help me understand the AT Barr One-Eyed Jack?

It's actually priced very well compared to what AT Barr knives with far less detail sell for. The filework on the back looks absolutely gorgeous and I like the oddity of the inlays. Wish the blade was thinner, but I suspect it won't be a problem in actual use - the PM3 is about the same thickness, ...

Re: PM2 vs Para3

I’m in an area that has length restrictions and a 3” blade is better for me. I prefer the para 3. The pm2 is nice. It’s a little big for the pocket. The para 3 is not very deep in the pocket and some don’t like that. They are both good.

Another quality piece from Taichung. The file work on the back spacer is very classy!
I agree. Fit and finish is top notch. Could swear the sides of the bolsters are polished and the flats are not. Subtle but nice. Like it more than I expected.

Re: Scales for Para3 cruwear

If you are not attached to the light gray g10 scales, you could always sand them down and even rit dye them yourself before you go out and buy more scales. Could be a fun project. I started to look into that. Will sandpaper (and appropriate safety gear) be all I need? Yeah, basically. Get finer and...
