I think it the new era of Lightweight versions, a GB1 LW would be amazing.
The only reason I don't carry my GB1 more, is that it is around 5 ounces. Send it to Taichung, slim it down, nest the liners in some FRN and call it good.

Re: Wedding EDC
Congrats!
I carried the Lil Nilaaka for my wedding.
I wish there were more smooth G-10 and white scale options.

Re: Lil Native Light Weight?
I'm hoping it's built like a Salt 2 with thin blade stock, entirely linerless, or if it's compression lock, like the Para 3 LW. I've had one since they came out and actually appreciated the burliness of it, but I think it deserves a major weight loss treatment.

Re: LC Salt 2 wharncliffe or Delica 4 wharncliffe?
Someone gave me a wharnie Salt 2 for my birthday, completely surprising me. The thing slices like a laser. I accidentally hit some metal cutting in the dark and the edge touched up with zero damage. Previously I had tried the Spydie Chef in LC, but don't like the blade angle so I never carry it (plu...

Re: is all frn the same?
My personal order:
Taichung > Seki City > Golden.
They all feel great and durable, but I like a little texture. Golden feels like the stiffest and most smooth.

Re: The Delica Wharncliffe is the greatest work knife ever made.
A question for you Delica lovers- are the handles of the Salt 2 the same as the Delica 4?
I'm liking the look of some of those aftermarket scales, but I only have a Salt 2...

Re: Rockjumper opinions?
I have a SE one. It has great action and the handle is one of the more comfortable handles that doesn't have a choil. If you have a Sharpmaker, the serrations are really easy to clean up if your dad beats it up. VG-10 is actually pretty dang nice for serrations. Blade length is fine. Bringing up the...

Re: Spyderco Siren Observations
Download and print the warranty form from the website. Fill it out and package it with the knife. I didn't send the box and they sent back the $5 I enclosed for shipping. I think they are holding stock for replacements.

Re: Spyderco Siren Observations
Received my replacement yesterday. Pretty excited to give it another go. My first one I had used quite a bit in a ranch like setting where it was in contact with lots of liquids and powdered fertilizers. I always liked knowing that it was not going to rust if I forgot to hose it off at the end of th...

Re: Spyderco Siren Observations
I received shipping confirmation on my replacement. I'd say by the time it's lands at my door, the whole process will have taken 2 weeks. Pretty good turn around I'd say!

Re: Chip in the compression lock makes knife much harder to opperate
Hard to see anything in the way of a chip in that pic. I know there's a ramp on the tang that is for the detent ball to slide through. None of the handles of my Para 3 LW's look so chewed up, so that part looks off to me. Almost like it's been hammered with. Is it possible that the detent ball is gr...

Re: Detent Ball Adjustment
Which 2 Para 3 LW"s was it?
I have some variation in the detent of the 3 I have. One quite stiff, one like butter, one almost rattly.

Re: A question for Sal regarding the Rockjumper
I got an early SE one too. I can see where people would believe there should be more blade in the handle, but I don't feel it's absolutely necessary. Almost seems like Sal's verbiage in the original description has forced the notion, but at the same time people don't seem concerned about getting mor...
