Re: Replacing the love of my life (PM2)
I think you owe it to yourself to try something new. The Manix2 is a great choice, and often compared to the PM2 in size and use. You can always sell it and get another PM2 if you don't like it. There is sure nothing that is wrong with that recommendation, i also have one of them great Manix2s. htt...

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!
And that is one good reason i would not buy the Mfg.ed in Taiwan Spyderco Paser. This Alistair Phillips knife also has a wire clip and manufactured in Taiwan... Would you buy this knife? First i really don't care for the Alistair Phillips knife, and next i would not buy any knife using a wire pocke...

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!
Wire clip is the best clip Spyderco makes, imo. Happy to see it on this! What i have noticed about the wire type clips, they do not hold as good as a standard type Clip and they have the bad habit of coming lose. The standard Spyderco clip has three screws to hold it tightly, the wire clip just has...

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!
Why put the wire type pocket clip on a large knife, i don't like the wire clip on a smaller knife but it's no place for it's type on this knife.

Re: Waiting for my new Spyderco Manix2 to arrive today.
I know the feeling. Really wanted a Spydie flipper so I ordered a Domino, will be stalking the mailman on Saturday, lol. While working in the knife Dept. in 2016 we received a ZT 456 flipper, i really liked looking at it but had not spent much time understanding how to flip it open. I later bought ...

Re: Waiting for my new Spyderco Manix2 to arrive today.

Re: Psf27 hardness
What Spyderco knife are you wanting to know about their blade hardness, they may use different heat treatments for different knives. I have a Bradley Bowie. I know only other two Spydercos that are made out of Psf27, but i don't know if they changed HT cycle. The answer i feel has to come from Spyd...

Re: The HUNDRED PACER: A Mind-Blowing Compilation
I don’t know what makes it worth more, that is subjective. I can suggest some things that may make it cost more. Intricately machined G10 scales for one. Have you seen a close up picture of them yet? Likely better fit and finish as well. Then there is the royalty for the designer. You also need to ...

Re: The HUNDRED PACER: A Mind-Blowing Compilation
At around $234 US it seems a little over priced to me for a Taiwan Mfg. knife. Fails to realize some of Spyderco's highest quality knives come from Taichung. Have you ever had a Spyderco outside of Golden or Japan? They are extremely well put together knives with high quality materials. Though this...

Re: Spyderco made it just to easy.
This has also been my experience with employees when looking at knives in the big sporting goods stores, unfortunately. Which is also why I no longer shop for knives in such stores. Spyderco certainly does a good job educating those with interest in their products. They provide a number of informat...

Spyderco made it just to easy.
A while back while working in the knife dept. at a local sporting goods store, people would just point at a Spyderco knife i would hand it to them and they would play with it a while, then ask for the box and i would take them to the cashier. Many bought a Delica4 so i bought one i knew it had a VG1...
