So I finally convinced my Dad to get started in the gun world ( :D ), and after going shooting with someone from our church (who also cc's) my dad said he wants to start with handguns. He says the 9mm Glock feels like a "hand cannon" and that the recoil is too much so he wants a revolver ...

I EDC a SAK almost everyday to compliment my Spyderco. Not so much for the blade but for the other tools (Leatherman QC has nosedived imo lately). It is also nice to have because, generally, SAK are more accepted by non-knife people than say a PM2.

Going out on a limb here but the one I am most anxious for is the pink handle Native 5 for women's cancer. I hope to buy it for my wife (her father died of cancer) and get her bit by the Spydie bug. Its a long shot but worth a try!

CC2! I love this knife. I usually back it up with my Delica 4. At that price point, I think the CC2 is better for me than anything under $50.

OP, thanks for asking this question. I am young in my Spydieholism, and I am unsure if I should get a PM2 for EDC or just wait for a sprint run that really speaks to me and get one for occasional carrying. I like the ergos of my Manix2 but I LOVE the ergos of my Cara Cara 2. So I am guessing I will ...

LW Cara Cara 2, not really a Spydie but I love the ergos of this knife.

My suggestion is to go to a range and rent anything you are thinking about buying. The suggestions above are very good suggestions. But try them out first. Also, try the Glock 19.
