Sal, as an avid hunter I have very biased opinions on the Pro Grip & the Pro vent. I like the VG-10 as a hunters steel choice, the finer grain seems to glide through flesh and sinew. The overall blade shape is damned near perfect for outdoor use 3.5 would be about right. Flat grind I LOVE on EDC...

CKE it took about 7 hrs to do from start to finish counting drying time. My picture taking skills do NOT do this 1 justice. The difference in the C/F I'm using is like night to day, light catches on every possible variation of color and this is much thicker than the standard sheet I was using. If an...

Executive Cricket

I am trying a line of SS Crickets for those that prefer the heft and feel of the SS but want the classy look of Dragon Plate carbon fiber. Shown is the basic model, 00.45 thick sheet bonded to the face side with the screw and pivot holes inleted into the scale material. Taking into consideration the...

Hi CDF, and welcome to the forum, if we're talking s here Chux was dead on as usually all that's needed is a quick call to Mike at W/R. The clips are SS so the cold blue wouldn't work at all. I've darkened several and got lets ...

Over the years I've done the old foot in mouth several times with the new models. At 1st to my eyes some of the later models just did not appeal to my old fashioned thinking. But after handeling some and trading for many I'll ...

Sounds to me you have a old and IMO much better rendition of the original Frost knives. Seems I heard once or twice the elipse in the end of the 1 arm bandit blade was for hooking on a jeans pocket for easier opening. The Japan Frost's are made better than the 1s we see today from China. Your's is p...

Jeff, I have to thin the bevel on PE ATS-55 blades to get the type of sharpness we're used to.
The SE blades in this steel don't seem to have this same problem.
I can add nothing else to the fine dealers mentioned above all are good choices.

Andre, I can maybe explain to you how I! do it with mine. 1- loosen the screw holding the pivot pin in, don't take it all the way out. 2- take pressure off the locking liner by closing the blade abouut half way. 3-push the whole pivot pin out approx 1/4" so the stud is sticking out of the handl...

Thanks again all, yep the c/f is like G-10 you really need a good respirator to work on this stuff.
