Re: New to me S&W 27-2
This one came with the optional Mahogany Presentation Case. Its in fantastic shape itself You'll notice that one tool is missing, and also the original blue box did not come with it But, thats just fine by me, because this baby will be shot and had a good time with. I'm just very happy to have one....

Re: Ladies On The Edge
You guys are much more patient. I simply refuse to engage with a generation me kid talking about toxic masculinity. There are always better things to do. Joe Joe...believe me, I understand that sentiment. But I have a teenage daughter an end up dealing with her friends, both male and female, and I ...

...human nature kicks in...there are always going to be wolves and therefore men should be versed in hunting them....be they 2 or 4 legged and called by another name. A man needs to know and be capable of doing man things. Today's youths cannot, and refuse to understand why it is needed. I think th...

Simply put, "Hard times breed strong men, strong men bring about good times, good times breed weak men"....rinse, repeat. An interesting quote that you may find as a counterpoint: "I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My son...

Re: Ladies On The Edge
Okay, MAJOR disagreement with some opinions here. But first, on-topic : I don't think it's surprising that more women are interested in knives. Outside of a few brands, I feel like the marketing and distribution of knives, be they pocket- or fixed, makes it easier for female customers to be interes...

Re: Knife Block
Didn't know knife blocks were still a thing. Gave mine up years ago and went to magnetic strips like the restaurants around here use. (Health department doesn't like knife blocks due to bacterial growth.)
Yours is beautiful and well laid out. Congratulations.

Self medicating with either prescription or illicit drugs is a very bad idea. Live fast and die young I guess.

Going to be smoking peppers this weekend to have for the winter. My jalapenos, habaneros, anaheims, serranos and whatever else that my buddy drags over from his garden. Smoked then chopped or ground and put in Mason jars and sealed up.

Last 4 phones have been Samsung's....Note 3, Note 4, 8+ and now a Note 9. No issues whatsoever. Note 9 takes better pictures than my daughter's iPhone X. I stay a model or 2 behind the newest ones to let the bugs get worked out. And yes, they all listen. Even after you "disable" all of the...

Re: What do you think of the 6mm ARC?
As anyone who shoots targets or is a long range shooter knows, the higher the ballistic coefficient the higher the retained energy and velocity, and flatter the the trajectory. That is what the ARC does and why others cannot. It was designed for heavy for caliber bullets that are longer with extrem...

Former USMC Grunt and later Master Instructor at the United States Army Ordnance Center & Schools, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland where I taught and worked in weapon test and development. As a couple of others here, I have carried both the 7.62x51 and the 5.56x45 in combat and found neither ...

Re: Emerson knives??
Have owned several (20+) different models thru the years but currently only have one Emerson karambit left. They just never really caught hold with me...out-dated steel, poor edge geometry, uneven grinds...I just kept going back to Spyderco for my EDC needs. I don't buy customs so I can't speak to t...

My axes are all old Craftsman models from the 50's and 60's. Probably use the 3lb. Boy's axe more than anything other than the chainsaw these days. My hatchets are old Plumb, Eastwing and 2 Swiss fire hatchets. My tomahawks are HB Forge, Beaver Bill and a genuine Peter LaGana Vietnam fighting tomaha...

Started early.... WW2 Combatives/JuJitsu- mixture of JuJitsu, western boxing, barroom brawling. Taught by both my Grandfathers and one Great Uncle, all survivors of WW2 (2 Mud Marines and one Soldier) and Korea (all 3 in the Corps that time). Simple, brutal and effective. Started training at age 8, ...

Re: New S & W 629 PC
What would you guys recommend for a new (stock) revolver? Sounds like S&W may not be the most consistent. Is someone else better? The only revolver I own is a Ruger LCR (.357) and that one has been fine for me, but I've only put a couple hundred rounds of 38 and maybe 30 rounds of .357 through ...
