i use the lansky on all my knives .. buy there all cheap knives. I get those hair shaving sharp not hair = popping sharp with it

Ive got a lansky setup with an add on blue sapphire stone and a table mount which I dont really care to use . Ive got a couple diamond flat stone that Im not very good at using also but I enjoy trying to sharpen my knifes . just not real great at it

after i ordered my delica 4 vg-10 , i found one for basically the same price with ZDP-189
oh well i think ill be happy with it anyway

this knife is selling pretty cheap. anyone have any input on the
8Cr13MoV steel as far as strenght and edge retention . I just bought the
Delica 4 with the the vg- 10 steel and i am waiting for delivery. You cant have to many knives right? :rolleyes:

well thanks to all the great suggestions , im happy to report i have just placed my order for a Delica 4 with the flat-saber grind . I should receive it in 5 - 8 days . Ordered through Amazon with free shipping at $53.18 . Thanks for all the help

i appreciate all the input .. Think I will go with the Delica . sounds like what im looking for . i try to take care of my knives but if Im working on something I will tend to use my knife for more than it was designed for... yea I know .. but I know me .. thanks to all

I dont want anyone to missunderstand , I like a very nice knife as much as anyone . But I am a maint. tech at work and use my pocketknife daily. I want a blade with good steel and have never tried a spyderco knife. I appreciate the fast response . thanks

I usaually use the fingernail test .. touch edge of blade on fingernail and it should grip ... do not try to cut just drag across and it should grip the nail
