Re: Spyderco ClipiTool Earthman 3-bladed knife

I love this idea!! One main locking blade and two smaller blades, one plain edge and one spyderedge. Offering these in high carbon non-stainless would be awesome and multiple different colors/materials for the handle scales would really make it feel like a new take on a “modern-traditional”... BTW.....

Re: Maxamet vs CRUWEAR vs S110V

I ended up ordering the S110V and some CF scales from Russia (don’t remember the maker’s name, but he was recommended on this forum). Was it Aramis Akhmedov? Make sure you search for him through Google Chrome so you can use Google Translate which works fairly well on his site. By the way...his work...

Re: BHQ Para Series with DLC M4 /Jade

I hope I like this one more than I liked the DLC manix 2 Jade. If I don't care for it hopefully someone will trade me for something nice :)
What didn't you like about the Manix? I have this PM2 coming but I'm still upset that I waited to order and missed the Manix...

Re: Wharny Delica Steel Choice...?

You really can't go wrong with either. S30V will have a bit better working edge but if you damage it (and it sounds like you probably will) it takes a bit more effort and time to grind vs VG10. I might choose VG10 for that reason alone. I've had S30V chip but VG10 has only ever rolled on me. The on...

Re: Wharny Delica Steel Choice...?

I ended up grabbing the S30V but have not used it yet, really waiting on the HAP40. Yeah man, I've also been waiting for that but who knows when it'll ship...it could be the end of the year and I don't want to wait until then. I figured I'll get one now and, if I love it, I'll grab the HAP40 when t...

Wharny Delica Steel Choice...?

I'm looking to buy a Wharncliffe Delica and noticed that Cutlery Shoppe is selling their exclusive, which has an S30V blade, for only a few dollars more than the standard VG-10 version. I'm going to swap out the scales with an extra set of BR Green scales that I have lying around so the color is not...

Re: Para 2 Scales

Hi there, I've had the para2 for a couple years now and feel as though it's time to upgrade the scales on this bad boy. Really looking for something that is 3D machined so its a bit more comfortable than the standard block-like scales that come on the PM2, and then can hopefully be pushed into more...

Re: Compression lock and blade thickness

Howdy Ramsey, One of my designs, the Ouroboros uses the compression lock and has a blade thickness of only 2.5 mm. It’s not a strictly ‘conventional’ knife (negative blade angle, more of a pistol-grip, big belly, very large choil), but I think it may be the thinnest compression lock blade stock cur...

Re: 2018 Sage with Green G10, 3" Blade and Bolt Action Lock !!

What about a Sage with an Axis lock?!? With full CF contoured scales? I thought I heard that Benchmade’s patent expired on the Axis lock earlier this year but haven’t heard of any other company using or planning to use it yet. I’m really not to sure how patents work but if anyone were to use it, oth...

Need an accurate blade length on Manix 2

Hey guys...I was freehand sharpening my absolute favorite Spyderco (KC Exclusive Manix 2 Cruwear) last night and being that it's Cruwear, I wanted to lay the edge back a fair amount to try to improve performance a bit. Well, on one of my pull strokes, I came off the edge of the stone pretty hard. I ...
