Re: Techno, Inbound
I used my Techno this Christmas to open some zip ties. My dad is a former Marine (I hope I'm saying that correctly- I hear here is no such thing as an "ex-Marine"). Anyway, upon seeing the Techno he said "ooh, looks lethal". Lethal????????? And here I thought the Techno was fairl...

Members 2014 Top 10 list
JD Spydo did a "Top 10 List" back in 2012. I seem to remember one from last year, but can't find it. Anyway, it's interesting to me to see how folks Top 10 list changes from year to year and I'd love to see this annual tradition continued. This is meant to be your top 10 favorites as it st...

Re: Ok, what did you see in the new catalogue that you need?
Since I saw it, I wanted a Roadie. Now that it has a lanyard hole...I want three!!!!
I'm really glad they added the hole. It will be perfect on a keychain.

Re: Where did the Tuff love go?
I really appreciate everyone's replies, with particular thanks to Invective for researching the length- stats and to 3rdGenRigger for posting great pics of a great modded handle. To this date, the Tuff is my largest folder, in terms of taking up pocket real estate. For that reason I didn't carry it ...

Where did the Tuff love go?
A little over 5 years ago, I began lurking on these forums. At the time, the anticipation of the Tuff was easily found here. Many, though not everyone, was looking forward to the oversized pivot, the sheer size, the dare I say: Tuffness. Then it was released in the summer of 2012. There was the init...

Re: Dragonfly popularity
The Dragonfly is my second favorite "line" of Spyderco knives, next to the Caly's. The fob (on the Salt) makes it indeed feel like a full-sized handle. I carry it at least once a week and it is my go-to blade for when I don't know where I'll be or what I'll be doing. It looks small enough ...

Re: Southard use?
Mine rides daily in my left fore-arm pocket. It gets used 2-3 times a week to cut an apple, open mail/packages, cut up lunch, etc. Occasionally I pop a zip tie or trim a lose string. Basically, I cut stuff when it needs cutting. I wish I had more exciting cutting chores. It's the knife that's most o...

Re: Slysz Bowie: Impressions, Comparisons, and Review
Thanks Studey!
You obviously spent a lot of time on this and it shows. Great pics and great thoughts.
I too like mine a lot. The deep pocket wire clip is probably my favorite attribute, thought the blade shape is pretty darn fantastic. Great comparison shots.
Thanks again,
James

Reading about, More than using my Spyderco knives
Good Day, Back in my 20's I specifically didn't get cable TV because I thought: "why should I watch other people live interesting lives when I could be out living an interesting life myself". Rather than watching prime time dramas, I could be meeting people and making relationships. Rather...

Re: Slysz Bowie!
The para cord on your small Sebenza fob. What color and where did you get it? Love the color match. I wish I could help you, but it came with the knife, which I got from the BladeForums Exchange. To all, thanks for the kind words. I enjoyed taking the pictures. I wish I could figure out how to get ...

Re: Slysz Bowie!
As promised, here are some thoughts and comparison shots. You all have your own opinions about wire clips, jimping, etc. I’ll try to leave my opinion out, which one I like better and instead attempt to just point out the differences, not judge. I don’t have a Millie to compare it to, but against a P...
