Nobody carries a Caspian 2 for EDC? Nobody even has any thoughts on the subject?

Hams have the same problem as knife guys. They like to accumulate radios and unlike knives the radios take up a good bit of room. They are also harder to pass as 'that old thing?'.

You can get started very inexpensively on the VHF/UHF bands.
