As one who wants one significantly and equally or more significantly is feeling the economy I'd vote for whatever combination will make it more affordable while still being quality.

Is there somewhere that gives a very basic explanation of what these two are and what the differences in them are as well as when one is preferred over the other? Thanks.

Great review but fyi that yellow color is unreadable at least on a Sony notebook.

Mine has to be my Byrd Cara Cara Rescue since that's currently my only Spyderco product. I hope to remedy that in the not too distant future though.
