Was it listed as Military-Style or military-style or something else? If it was listed as a single hyphenated term that should have been a pretty clear indication it wasn't a military. The flip side of that coin is we tend to see what we want to see whenever possible. From a neutral position I'd say ...

While I'm not Einstein I'm not stupid and I have no clue what the intended implications are. Hopefully someone will 'splain it fairly soon.

I'm in. I'm new to Spyderco knives and the forum. I appreciate it for the breadth and depth of knowledge as well as the helpfulness and friendliness of the members. I like the company for having at least partial U.S. presence in their operations and manufacturing. Thanks for the chance to win a cool...

As one who wants one significantly and equally or more significantly is feeling the economy I'd vote for whatever combination will make it more affordable while still being quality.

G10 vs. FRN

Is there somewhere that gives a very basic explanation of what these two are and what the differences in them are as well as when one is preferred over the other? Thanks.

Mine has to be my Byrd Cara Cara Rescue since that's currently my only Spyderco product. I hope to remedy that in the not too distant future though.

To all the late comers..... Do the phrases "The early bird gets the worm" and "You snooze you lose" ring a bell? Bob Certainly they do and I don't think anyone suggested those coming early shouldn't get to go first. I only questioned if it was fair for early people to get 3 and ...

I watched one of them take a container of cookies, eat the contents, and "hide" the container behind a plant in the lobby rather than disposing of it properly. Bob I hope you retrieved it and handed it back to him loudly announcing "Here, you accidentally dropped this behind the plan...

I know their goal is to sell out 100%. I know people get there 12 or more hours early to get in first. Even so, it seems a little sad for later people that early folks get 3 or 4 dozen pieces and the later folks get slim pickings. Is there a system fair to all that would allow a little more equitabl...

Yes, he told story after story of amazing bravery and endurance and it was all about his men and what they did as a unit and how they operated together and looked after each other and saw each other through safely. It was never about I did and I was and I am. He did tell about his parts in things bu...

Just because it's always been later November doesn't mean it couldn't be in August or September when folks could be a lot more comfortable waiting I wouldn't think. I also think it's a big dilemma of allowing one person to buy two or three dozen versus having more people able to get some bargains. P...

Medal of Honor

Today was an incredible day. I am on layover in Chattanooga for the weekend. I chose to go to the Medal of Honor Museum this afternoon. It is very small as museums go but very cool. Learning more about the medal and the recipients was a great day and would have been a cool day on it's own. While I w...

It comes out reverse grip with the blade spine toward my wrist. It's easy enough to reverse if I just want to use it to cut something and presumably looks more dangerous if in a confrontation, something I haven't and hope never to find out.

I have one Emerson opener from a different company. I don't remember if I swapped the clip or not but when carried the hook is toward my zipper. My first Spyderco

Well at least sort of. I got a Byrd Cara Cara Rescue at House of Blades. It is not the 2 version but the original (I presume). I really like it but the clip has a stronger than a death grip hold when it's in my pocket. I wear 5.11 pants that have the heavy material with a reinforced tab in addition ...
