You did the right thing by not opening that one Daywalker, it is definitely NOT from me. It's getting to the point where, between the spammers who troll places like this harvesting email addresses to spoof and the sicko's who write viruses, we forumites are going to have to come up with some kind of...

Welcome to the forum Kali. I too first became acquainted with the Spyderco name through Thomas Harris' book. In my case it took over a year before I bought my first one, and almost another year and sixty other Spydies before, through the kindness of a good friend and fellow forumites here, I became ...

Suggestion for the Spyderco website
Daywalker's post regarding his design got me to thinking that it would be a real boon to us fans if Spyderco put up a page with a list of shows they will be attending. Think something along the lines of the Events Calendar page...

Well Allen, on the basis of the pictures on Ron's website, plus the rave comments on his work here and on BladeForum, I sent him one of my favorite Spydercos, my Schempp Persian, for some custom work. Will post some pi...

Hi Kaizer, As you've seen it's like a short fat awl. I beleive it is used primarily by sailors, to work the strands in a piece of rope apart. This is done in order to create a loop type splice in the rope (where you split the end strands apart then weave them back into the rope to create an eyelet o...

Thanks Kaizer, that monkey fist has a die (as in one half of a pair of dice) as its center, which made it a lot easier to do and keeps the finished product nice and square. A small crochet hook is also a great investment if you plan to do this and some of the other knots. Cord is cheap cotton garden...

Hi Kaiser, some nice knots there and their link to Ropers knot page makes it even better, as that one contains good directions for the monkey fist, hangmans knot, and some other neat knots as well. Another good one, if you have not seen it alrea...

Well, I have a Benchmade 42, bought before I heard about the upcoming SpyderFly. Will almost certainly get a SpyderFly when it is released, and will definitely purchase the smaller version if it ever materializes. Unlike automatics, which are totally illegal here in New York state, balis are legal t...

I've got a PE Chinook II, had it a few months now. Excellent fit and finish, smooth action, fits my hand like a glove and gives me the feeling I could cut my way out of anything with it. Only downside is that it's a tad too big to fit comfortably in my pocket and has too high a FOG factor to use com...
