Re: One spydie...just ONE.

I used to prefer 3.5" bladed knives until I started to carry Native5 and find out that this knife is capable to do anything I need to cut. Currently most of the time I am carrying only 3" bladed knives: one of my Natives and Caly3. Most knife people that I know (myself included) did exactly the sam...

What's wrong with the Native? Did you like it? Was there anything you didn't like?

As a black belt on traditional Vietnamese martial Arts I'd love to have one of these, but it's a long shot.

The Salt 2 may dethrone my all time favorite, the Delica 4.

Re: Lubes

The first and only time I needed to lube a pivot I searched my house for what I could find and I found a 60 cent (of euro) oil. "Multi porpuse" it says but as i recall it's used to lube sewing machines. It works just fine, the pivot is nicely smooth and I can open my Delica with a flick of the wrist...

Re: Best price/service EU?

I second the outfittercountry store on Ebay choice. They ofer free shipping for most of their knives, and the ETA is reasonable. Also, their customer service and comunication are great. I bought quite a few Spydercos from them when the customs weren't the female dogs they are now. But I buy from them s...

Re: Best price/service EU?

I never bought from this seller but he has good prices on some Spydercos:

It's eBay / PayPal so I'll buy with confidence when I want something from it.

Re: Best price/service EU?

I find I can buy from knifeworks.com and have it shipped to the other side of the planet cheaper than I can buy over here. My main problem isn't the shipping, it's the customs. But that's an entire topic on itself, and was already addressed on this topic http://www.spyderco.com/forumII/viewtopic.ph...

Re: Dream knife

As far as folders go I think I'll be really happy with the new Salt 1 ( Salt 2?).
For a fixed blade I'd like to see a full tang shorter Aqua Salt (95mm blade).

My favorite shop in the EU right now is the French coutellerie tourangelle.
Great selection of spydercos and the best prices I could find in the EU.

Re: Moratorium on buying any more Spydies...

I was more than 2 years without buying a new Spyderco. This year I finally broke and recently got a Native 5.
I love almost all the models with 3 in blades, so this year will be a struggle due to new releases like the Para 3 and the new Salt I handles... they're a must for me.

Re: Why not a Native Salt?

.... or a complete revamp of the Salt series with LC200N? I suspect this will happen, from what I have seen in my own use H1 has no advantages over Lc200n in regards to corrosion resistance, and Lc200n holds a better edge and can be heat treated unlike work hardened H1. (I'm not sure what the cost ...
