I agree with comments here. Most light colored G-10 is prone to discolor/dirt. Grey, orange whatever. I'll stick with the black.

I know this a little OT, but to the original poster who is, I think in law enforcement. How long until the feds redefine the legal definition of the switchblade to include assisted open knives. I would bet good money that's coming up next across the US not just in NY. You mentioned disposing of thes...

I would love to see another Manix 2 in XHP. I missed the first and would love a shot at one. You can keep the glow in the dark stuff though. Dark handle please.

I think you are.. I get get enough of that at work. poof your blocked ? What was that? I'm off to a great start here in the forums. It's hard to argue with a classy well thought out argument like that. I won't bother you with my thoughts on the subject any further lest I make more people dislike me...

[quote="The Mastiff"] Not everybody can afford to pay a 100% mark up for a flipped knife, yet they could afford the online dealer price. If you get to the knife first, that's fair. If you then buy his too and resell it to him at a huge markup then what you call the "art of the deal&qu...

Priced for the Byrd's and the quest for the sub $100.00 S30V Folder

I have enjoyed my induction into this forum and community of Spyderco aficionados like myself. It is in the spirit of discussion that I submit this thread for your consideration. If you have a house full of Spyderco blades then I know you have felt the increase in cost for these knives over the past...

No offense meant but... I would think this comment contradicts your OP. You want high prices for the spydies in your hand but low prices for those on your wish/flip list. Good luck with that. It would seem that the market has no problem keeping prices where they need to be. I have missed out on spr...

Larger sprint runs are fine with me. My only concern is Spyderco making a profit so they can stay in business, innovate and keep make my favorite knives. Finding sprints to buy has not been a problem. Posters here and on other knife forums have kindly posted all the necessary information. Their pos...

I like the quote from Sal above regarding why we should use our knives rather than collect. It is curious that Spyderco even offers Display cases and little acrylic stands for a spyderco knife collection. "Eighteen-pocket SpyderPac is an impressive and safe way to carry and display your knife c...

No offense meant, but you sound more like an investor than a collector. Spyderco's logic for producing Sprints is to offer things folks want. That can be a second chance at a discontinued classic, a hard use model in an exotic steel, or a popular model dolled up with a special scale material. AFAIK...

Again I could be naive here since I am new to this community, but I thought that collecting was the point behind the Sprint runs. I also love to use my knifes, but I have more knives than I will ever use. Unless there is some Swiss army underwear I don't own where I can put lots of extra blades? I a...

Sprint's turning into Laps

I was curious to get a general feel for how people are feeling about the most recent Spyderco Manix 2 and Military Brown "Sprint" runs. I have been collecting and trading Spyderco sprint runs for a few years now. Seems like a short while ago, sprint runs were around 500 or 600 pieces. Now ...

New Spyderco H1 plain edge fixed blade please

I moved to the great state of Colorado nearly 4 years ago. It was then that I was introduced to the excellent Spyderco factory outlet store in Golden. Since that first visit I have been buying and trading Spydies ever since. I missed my chance to purchase a Spyderco Auqua Salt with a plain edge. I a...
