You got a good deal there, the delica is one of spyderco's best designs, VG-10 gets very sharp and has great corrosion resistance too. You might look into getting a Spyderco "Sharpmaker" to keep it sharp. Once you get used to using really sharp knives it's hard to go back to using dull on...

Sliced my first pancake with it , It really slides it as butter.
I have never had any knife that sharp :)

There is no problem with the pivot or lock it is smooth and have no bladeplay.
