It should be pointed out that the P'kal was designed for a specific martial arts method and may not be appropriate for you based on what you practice.

For a general/rough use fixed blade, these magic words are usually enough. The only thing I can think of to deter you is it's size, in which case you have some smaller fixed H1 blades to consider.

Yea, you're loco. The comp lock is, as pointed out above, very strong and offers a good mix of benefits. With a little practice you can open and close one with one hand.

I'd like to see one of those, so I can stop using my old ATS-55 Cricket. Maybe a fancy colored handle while we're at it. Blue would be nice.
