Incredible knife for the money. Mille's carry smaller than you'd think in a back pocket ;)

Re: My friend broke another clip....

Steel tempered to have "Springiness" will be more brittle when it's yield strength is exceeded. That is the trade off. If you temper steel to be able to be bent back and forth without breaking it will be inherently less "Springy" Tell you friend to be more cautious when carrying ...

Re: Shipping of internal parts

You know Michael I appreciate your passion but yours are not the only "good" ideas. You might want to keep some perspective on how to have a discussion. "This is supposed to be a discussion. You know, an airing of various ideas and opinions". That doesn't mean calling other peopl...

Re: Shipping of internal parts

Thanks for your insights Sal. For me I would rather see a continual refinement of a given model and ongoing parts availability than a continual parade of new models. I think afi's lust for new and different could easily be accomplished with variations in blade steel and scale material thus simplifyi...

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places

I bought a Streetbeat from Knife Center for $149 when they were closing them out and feel I got an incredible deal! $107 would have been a ridiculous price! The micarta version is a really nice knife!

Re: My first PM2

I would not overlook the brown s35vn either. It has respectable edge retention, good ease of sharpening, stainless, moderately tough and a low key less "tactical" look. One of my favorite EDC variants. I own or have owned most of the Sprints and Exclusives and the CF M4, CF 52100, and brow...

Re: ranking toughest / least chippy steels

I will add if one wants a pry bar in a folder there are plenty of choices around, and those are built that way with thick blade stock. Strider, Hinderer, etc. Also CRK Sebenza 25, Large Inoski and Umnumzann are also built VERY strong, but they cut better than the above two as they are thinner. The ...

Re: I wish Spyderco would make...

An Endura with AEB-L blade and micarta scales with steel liners. Would be the ultimate all around EDC. Handsome, stainless, tough, and easy to sharpen.
Please Sal! :)

Re: If you could pick one discontinued knife to turn into a sprint..

Sprint Endura like the Sage green G10 sprint but with G10/CF peel ply (like a Bradley Folder) and AEB-L Steel. Would make my end all EDC and shouldn't be too expensive to produce.

Make it in Taichung out of CTS-XHP with Foliage green G10. I'll buy several.
