I like the reverse tanto blade on the Benchmade Osborne 942. It has a strong tip for penetrating materials, as well as, a nice cutting edge for slicing, paring and cutting. It's one of my favorite non-Spyderco knives.

What was "lost" is now "found." I checked the factory store site again and found the KX05. An order was placed today. Now the stressful waiting period begins. Thanks to all for the help. P.S. What started me ...

It doesn't get any better than this!

Yesterday, I made a plea to help find the Spyderco KX05 Sashimi Knife. You guys and gals came up with alot of helpful leads. Joyce suggested that I contact Patti @sfo (which I did by email). However, I got so antsy that I checked the online catalog again and, lo and behold, I saw the KX05 this time....

KX05 Sashimi Knife: Still Available?

I blew it! When Sal said to get one before they're gone, I procrastinated (as usual). Now, I want one (preferably new). I checked the Spyderco online catalog and found it no longer listed. Google and Alta Vista search yielded "nada." Can anyone help? (Oh yeah, I forgot, I better check John...

Thanks for the Blade show pics, Jeff.

I know the feeling when you pass up a chance to buy something unique then later learn that it's no longer available. (re: the dino-bone Kiwi).

I think the world really, really NEEDS, an A.T. Barr One-Eyed Jack Spyderco collaboration. Please visit AT's website; look at the custom One-Eyed Jacks; and return here to plead with Sal to consider the collaboration. (I like the model with the ti bolster and jigged bone scales but a plain G-10 Spyd...

The "Tough Solar" feature makes alot of sense for the G-Shock series. Oftentimes, the water-tight seal is compromised whenever the watch back is opened to replace the battery.

I forgot to mention this earlier but don't you think the Masaad Ayoob folder looks like it was inspired by the earlier Catcherman?

Hi samo. I think it's time for your own "The Adventures of Samo" forum. Why do you use gloves to clean fish? Is it because of the particular species you're working on? Or do gloves give you a better grip? I prefer a fi...

About three summers ago I saw a Casio G-Shock with a display of orange numbers against a black background at a "tourist" shop. I thought I could purchase it cheaper back home when I returned from my trip (at the time I thought it was a new model for the year). I was saddened to learn that ...

Hey, what happened to "G-4"? (I guess the G-3 should have been named the G-4 if Canon had their ID numbers and mega-pixels straight). Gosh, first I was close to purchasing the Canon S40 then it was the S45 or G-3. But I decided to hold off on those for the Olympus C-750UZ (and am still wai...
